When you ride a 2 stroke keep your middle finger on the clutch lever at all times and use it to pull in and feather those turns. You will be a lot smoother and faster through your corners and will be able to keep rpm's up
@@DesTroy818 the thumb throttle is not common but obviously works for you. I’m curious why you use it? Did you grow up on quads? Do you think that it helps throttle control better? I’ve never rode quads exempt just playing around so just curious if you don’t mind my asking.
Also curious. What gear are hitting the step up? I’ll jump the step down in the back straight a couple turns before the step up, but mostly worried about over jumping or underjumping the step up. I hit the backside step down in 4th but not hammering hard cause I’ve over jumped that too to flat landing. I’m old so being careful 😂.
I didn’t actually grow up racing quads, but I was always around them because my dad raced them. When I started riding again back in 2016 I decided to try the thumb throttle and just really liked it. Helps me feel more connected to the bike and focus on riding the bike with my legs. And on my 450 I do the whole track in 3rd gear. On the two stroke I’m shifting to forth in the back section and before the step up. But I’m coming up to it fast enough that I’m letting off pretty early. I can easily jump it 3rd gear on either bike. It looks intimidating but its a super easy jump once you go over it.
@@DesTroy818 cool story on the thumb throttle. I’m getting over the step up next time. My very first lap ever on that track I was just trying to get over the middle jump and landed hard into the 3rd one, so I know it doesn’t take much. I’ve also seen someone land at the bottom with bad results. My daughter tells me to not be a puss and send it. 😂
You have inspired me to get yz250. I have in fact got Yz250. Thanks, love your riding
That’s awesome man! Glad to hear!

Yeah man, I like it a lot!
Makes me feel like an idiot sometimes but its better than getting whiskey throttle and being fucking dead haha
What brake lever are you using? Mine hits the throttle housing so I have the brake adjusted kinda goofy, I'm also using a trx450 throttle

Thanks for the tip!
I wonder if that is the intermediate track?
This was the main track, but is no longer there. They took it out to build a couple supercross tracks
You straight up rip bro
