Germany group is the easiest and weakest teams in the World Cup, Fiji, Uzberketain and Hondurans. The Next Round will test how good they are not the work over group.
there is no point in playing larger rich nations vs smaller poor nations in sports. what next, usa vs fiji in basketball? ((: wealth and population decide sporting potential, larger richer countries need to be broken down by local regions.

I'm not saying they shouldn't compete, I'm saying larger/richer nations need to send regional teams based on population/wealth otherwise it is pointless. Even elite athletic countries like New Zealand and Ireland cannot compete with big/rich countries across the board in all sports like USA, Russia, Germany, et cetera.

I'm not saying Fiji matches with any German region of relatively equal wealth/pop, but there are plenty of countries who may or may not (such as Uruguay for instance). Germany vs Fiji is ridiculous. Bremen vs Fiji is at least somewhat reasonable. Bavaria vs Uruguay is much more reasonable than Germany vs Uruguay. Why should Liechtenstein lose almost every game they play? They do not have an equal chance of making it to the world cup, it is absurd. It is just a wealth/pop issue, not extremely difficult to fix.

I realise what you're saying but no one was ridiculing fiji for losing against germany. It was expected. So I don't see what's the problem.
