Super grateful for your product recommendations! A lot of products weigh down my curls. I wondered: have you ever tried the drugstore line: HASK Curl Care?? I’ve heard great things about their 5-in-1 leave in, curl defining cream, shaping jelly hair gel, and enhancing mousse! They’re supposed to be lightweight and great for all curl patterns. Apparently, Hask and the specific line is even widely used by celeb hairstylists and in Hollywood! Would love to see a review or your thoughts; I haven’t seen many from wavy/curly girls!! Thanks so much from a wavy/curly in Texas that put the flat iron aside for a while!!

I just went on a trip and bought the travel size of Curlsmith products to take with me and you are so right about the gel. It's awful, but the styling balm is amazing. I also bought the NYM because of you and now I know that I'll listen to everything you say because you have not steered me wrong at all. Also, you're just plain adorable. 💖

I've only just discovered your channel so not sure if mousse is your thing but the cake mousse is *chef's kiss* perfect one and done styler for a soft "I need to be out the door asap" look and it pairs really well with my two boucleme gels as well for a fancier event.

I love the Cake beauty curl cream. Smells so good. I haven't used it for day 1 b/c it doesn't seem strong enough for me, but I find it better for refreshing because it's light enough to layer on, and you don't need too much. Not Your Mother's sadly did not work for me at all, and I did not like the scent at all. Gotta say Cantu's Curl Activator Cream is my current favorite. I was afraid it would weigh me down, but when applied on very wet hair and styled with a brush (then plopped and diffused) - it's just fine. I use maybe a nickel size amount, give or take, on my long hair. Bounce Curl is good, but easy to get too heavy, and it's a little pricey. The scent is incredible on Bounce Curl's products.

The Briogeo cream is my new favorite cream! You should try it on it’s own if you haven’t already, it gives me a great cast so I love it as a one and done product!

I am planning to try these products on my daughter's hair when she is older (she is 3 yo so I use all Cantu kids). I want her to embrace her curls so experimenting now will help. What diffuser are you using? I've never had to use one.
Tbh…I liked them…but I didn’t LOVE them. When I was using them though, I was still on the beginning stages of my curly hair journey, so they were too heavy on my half dead waves lol. I’ll probably try them again soon and probably make a video about it. All I can say now is that they are too heavy for fine 2A-2B hair, but for 2C all the way to 3C, they probably work best.
My hair type is exactly like yours…except it’s just a tad thicker. Would you still recommend these products? And if not which ones? Btw LOVEEE your channiel!!
Oh I would absolutely recommend these to you, I’ve seen wavy/curly TH-camrs with thicker hair (and even tighter curls) try all of these, and they also get beautiful results😍
Is not on your video but I tried the Mark Anthony defining gel and it SUCKS stay away from it. I don’t know if it was because it had to much alcohol but it completely dried my hair. It felt like hay after a few weeks of using it. I got it to see if I could find a less expensive option to LUS Brand but did not work. LUS brand is amazing but a bit pricey but definitely worth it if you can afford it.
Omg THANKS for the warning about that Mark Anthony gel 🤭🤭🤭🤭 i tried a foam from them and it was ~ok~. Never re-purchased though, and now that I know about that gel, I’m glad I didn’t re-purchase! And okay, I’ve never heard of LUS before, but I’m gonna look them up😊😊 thank u bb❤️
Yes! It’s good, but i don’t think the price is justifiable lol. It performs pretty average, nothing that would make me go and tell you guys to buy it🙃🤷🏽♀️
Hmmm…maybe no. I think you should go very very light on creams, maybe even add some water to it and emulsify them in your hands. And then go with a gel on top. You can experiment with the amount of gel you need, start small and then see how your hair reacts.

Yes!! Especially the first 2 I mentioned are my faves for finer wavy hair. Just keep in mind that you should use a small amount😊

Hey bb! I usually do, I either use a bit of the Verb Curl Leave-In or a couple of spritzes of the Twist by OUIDAD Leave-In
Do you add a gel after these creams? No matter what my curls and waves do not get defined 😭
OF COURRRSEEEE! Gel is my bestie! For this video, I used the Rizos Curls gel which is light hold. But for most wash days I use a strong hold gel🤍

I tried a Marc Anthony cream and curl lotion. Both products did NOTHING.
I disliked those products also; very drying and no curl definition 😖.

put less creams! and maybe use weightless creams/mousse to help ur hair. gel is rlly important as it holds ur hair !
