There was a time I was asking God if he was near, I spent hours in the chapel at my university's Newman Center meditating and praying. One time, like a gentle breeze, I heard someone whisper "I'm still here." I was the only person in the chapel. I forgot about that experience until I heard this message.

This sermon had some really eye-opening theological questions/answers (like does God change his mind). Not sure if any of these comments get back to Pastor Craig, but I would like to see more sermons like this one. Not that the usual sermons are bad, just that this one in particular tackled some deeper theological issues (ones that you may discuss in a theology class).

Everyday I pray within all my prayers continuously, but one of the main thing I pray, is four eyes that want to see let us see, ears that want to hear that is here!. And I asked the Lord everyday to show me past the veil, to the honest truth. And for my Lord to show me the false, twisting of the Lord's words in the gospel. All scripture comes from a grain of Truth, as the winds that like to twist the truth. I enjoy hearing most of your preaching, and I say most because you still need to fully understand the Bible. As I listen to this summon. I am grateful for the timing because My heart is weak from my mum not being well and she is in and out of hospital and her heart is weak with low blood pressure and diabetes. I cried a lot yesterday. But as a Christian I am going to choose to trust God and I know that his promise is sufficient and even though my emotions might get the best of me. Even meds to deal with with the side affects of other meds. I trust in and count on God. Love the Psalmist who says 'oh thou that changes not, abide with me.' (Sung at English football stadia as well!)

God can never ever change and neither can his mind, I look at it like this. How can the one who knows all from beginning to end and in between ever be able to change his mind. He knows what he expects, he know the out come of every action or thought or spoken word God knows allllll things even before it’s time comes. God can never change his mind to make humans feel like it’s at our plead or beg he changed his mind but truth be told God was actually waiting for us to do or catch on to what it is he want us to do or learn so he’ll do what he ever wanted to do from the beginning we may think he changes his mind but he doesn’t we’re just catching up to the knowledge and wisdom of God lol He doesn’t change in anyway, we just catching up and following the lesson plan God has made for us.

I was never good enough for my mother and she had a hair trigger temper. I dealt with her for decades and she would yell at me for hours. When I was teen I didn't date. First, I rarely ever brought friends home...it was not safe. My mother's moods were unstable and she hated surprises...like guests or friends visiting. I never really invited friends home for dinner...you didn't do that and live. I was always schooled to NEVER talk about personal things that happened in the family. I often wondered what was wrong with me and why my parents hated me...why I was only good to be the in-house babysitter...and for free. I had much younger sister and brother. I was the built in babysitter and I made money babysitting neighbors kids. The few times I dated it was always a fixed up date...and always, always horrible.

I identify with this message and Pastors experience. I pray today God he keeps me close to you. The Lord gave me this message on May. 2023 just goes to show you God's timing and how we can lift each other up in Christ Jesus as brothers and sisters in God's perfect timing.

Ijoma Mitchell. To surrender your life to God here’s what you must do.
1. Repent of your sins meaning you must be sorrowful about your sins
2. Seek God’s forgiveness of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your saviour
3. Be baptised in water in the name of Jesus Christ
Form an intimate relationship with Him by praying, reading and studying God’s thus striving to live a holy life pleasing to God.
