I don't know how people can even consider talk bad about his execution. You can count in a hand the number of people who can do it this well. Sure he isn't perfect, but we got to recognize how amazing he is.

It's simple, it's because this is karate reduced to a performative ballet, having lost every meaning behind what a kata is about. It's just a flourishing of fast gestures without any power behind. There is no kime here, he's not even breaking a sweat. It looks good, it's a nice form, but it's an empty form.

I have the same problem as this dude, I try to focus on speed/power by not finishing the techniques till the end (see first few seconds of the kata when he bursts the first techniques..)

Crei que era el unico que me di cuenta . Movia los brazos rapido pero sin completar la técnica solo hacia la posición final. En el salto se supone que debe quedar con las manos hacia abajo no en punta de dedos. Rika Usami is the best.

@@yeshuaeselmashiaj6037 opino lo mismo, mucha velocidad, que si examinamos en camara lenta, falta culiminar correctamente el movimiento, sinceramente no me parece que la ejecucion de este kata este de campeon mundial, osea, hay formas de tener poder y rapidez y finalizar el movimiento, lo podemos ver con antonio diaz, rika usami y otros
no se si es el estilo de damian tal vez

Pas de force de hanche, un regard figé et pas en profondeur, pas de kimé et des cries au lieu des kiaï. Bienvenu dans le monde de la competition ou le karaté n'a aucune efficacité pour proteger sa famille et ses amis. Domage, il ne faudrait plus appeler ça "karaté" mais "spectacle coregraphique sur le theme des arts martiaux"

this is not very good for gold medel level.he is pullling his moves and not doing them correctly so he can appear faster.the first 3 moves demostrates this. the flying front kick at the end was at best 50% executed/ antonio diaz version or rika usami is far better.
