The year leading up to his passing was so hard, and hearing this song I remember just instantly seeing the journey I had taken from when I was little, to the current days when I was sitting by his hospice bed, and how my relationship with him had changed and grown. I still get enraptured by the song two years later, and I’m sure l’ll never stop feeling that way about it. It’s such a beautiful song, and it has helped me process a lot of my grief. I’ll always hold this song close to my heart and appreciate the work that went behind it
