This is a great reminder. I really would like to have people to bond with over writing. I've never found a group though that didnt have some rude, self-important intellectual. I have a hard time stomaching such people and I let it ruin the group for me
Meetup worked for me to find a critique group in my city. We still use Zoom and have accepted people from other countries even though Meetup was originally: Use the internet to get off the internet. If there is no Meetup critique group in your city, you can start your own on Meetup.
