Ahh! I have a Jordan country club story told to me by a friend who used to run the club before retirement. It was a while back so I can't tell you the year, but Jordan and Oakley were in St. Louis playing golf at one of our high end country clubs. The dress code was that you had to wear a collared shit and one of the attendants told Jordan about the rule.
"I ain't wear a damm collared shirt!" and he kept on golfing. So the attendant went to my friend and told him. My friend then went to Jordan, respectfully, to reiterate that he had to wear a collared shirt and again Jordan dismissed him. So my friend said, "Listen, these members have more money than you and they don't give a FUCK who you are. They will remove you from this course if you don't put on a shirt. So what I'm going to do is go to the clubhouse, get you a shirt and you will wear it if you want to keep playing here". My friend got the shirt and Jordan put it on, and they kept playing.
