I was raised in the 80s and 90s on the Wolf Cartoon, I love the 2003 series, enjoyed all the movies, even the Bay ones, and the 2012 series is my favorite out of the whole lot (I think it's the best mix of humor and drama). I've even read some of the comics, Mirage and IDW, and played all the games, and my desk is basically a display case of TMNT figures. And all that being said I still love Rise of the TMNT. I don't feel the need for edition wars. Each new incarnation of the Turtles brings it's own things to the table, and I feel Rise fits in perfectly. Also it's finale/movie were both epic.

I remember when I was 8 years old when this show first started there was only 9 episodes back then and it's one of those shows that's good at the beginning and gets better and better as it gose on. The OG 1987 series is where it all started and 2003 is a good 2nd place. But the 2012 show is the best one yet. And Rise is the worst one it shouldn't have existed to try to Replace the 2012 show I agree %100. The 2819 minutes comes out to be 46 hours and 59 minutes. I don’t really see what toy sales have to do with the quality of a show. That’s like saying that the Joel Schumacher Batman duology is better than the Tim Burton duology because it sold more toys and was more marketable. Also, your telling me that the existence of one show that’s different from some previous incarnations can retroactively ruin an entire 30 year-old franchise?
Actually I enjoyed BOTH those Batman movies myself. And apparently Rise didn't ruin the entire franchise; it just sent them BACK to the stuff that DID sell, which is why ORIGINAL figures are back on shelves now.
Because most cartoons are made with one thing on mind toys. It's not even produced if the studio can't try and maximize merchandise. So if a show doesn't have any toys merchandise ECT it means no one in general cared to even license the dumpster fire of a show. Because no one will buy.
I recently watched Batman Forever and realized It’s better than the Tim Burton ones, but I still don’t think that popularity automatically equals success and quality. Also, for the second guy who replied, not every cartoon is made with the sole intention of making toys, and barley any cartoons are made now specifically for that purpose. You seem just like the stupid Nick execs that fucked the show over.
If they provided the disc numbers then they should’ve also said which discs were numbers 1,2,3, etc. like say rise of the turtles is disc 1, enter shredder is number 2 and so on. That’s something so basic it’s laughable they got that wrong.
I just ordered this from Amazon I also got the last 2 seasons of the 87 show that I needed while at the flea market last week I need so art collecting the 03 show next I only have 1 dvd of that
