- In this interview with Rajeev Masand, #KareenaKapoor reveals how shows like Sacred Games and Delhi Crime have inspired her to seek out 'quality roles'. She talks about her admiration for #DiljitDosanjh with whom she's made two films, yet barely knows, and explains what it's like raising #TaimurAliKhan - arguably the most photographed child in the country.
She really was born for the movies. There is something about her that draws you in.

Ever since she's stepped in the industry, she's been on the hit list for her extraordinary looks and mega-stardom. When her movies weren't even doing good, her DEMAND never stopped coz people wanted to see more and more of her and continue to this day. Till today, there's not even a single actress who's been able to beat on her beauty, style, and fantastic screen presence and her majestic stardom. The industry just has average looking or ugly or below average looking actresses. And they have become "STARS" either coz of the script of the film, or by creating a national controversy or especially by endorsing a sob story to the world coz they knew they do need an emotional drama to get the audiences attention coz without that...they'll never sustain for a longer time. This is called PR strategies to get public attention.
I feel Geet in Jab We Met is similar to Kareena in real life! She is just a burst of energy! She is happy and her happiness shines and glows!

Been waiting for this interview for a while! Kareena is such an amazing person whether it’s her performance or her frank attitude. This is by far her best interview and i see no negative comments for her here which is something i have never seen. People are evolving with their thinking. Whatever the reason is or however she is in real...I think that quality defines her quite a lot! 20 years, almost 49-51 movies but just 1 stand-out performance (JWM), 4-5 good roles ( chameli, omkara).... Is not what i would consider a successful career run. She is a pretty good actress when she tries. But the fact that she is content with her item numbers, sidekick in Khan/Kumar movies , cameo roles at this stage of her career puts her way back in the list of worthy and relevant actresses. Her and Sonakshi are two peas in a pod, but atleast Kareena can act.
Thanks to Taimur, her girl gang, media appearances, gym looks - she can be called a successful celeb or star. But calling her as successful top actress , not so much.
Totally agree with you! Sadly her character defining roles are those in which she plays herself. Thank God she rejected Kal Ho Na Ho, Queen, Chennai Express/ Ram Leela/ Bajirao Mastani because Preity Zinta, Kangana and Deepika were utterlty brilliant in those roles; and Kareena´ mediocre act would have been unwatchable.
