Just bought a 23 and have about 10 hrs. Looks almost identical. Your video will help greatly. Thanks a bunch!

Not bad. Those zip ties holding the wiring loom in place are reusable and have tabs to release so you can undo the zip ties and move the wiring loom out of your way to get the oil filter wrench in. I'm sure you do this but didn't get it on video but always wipe the dirt away from the oil filter mounting base which also acts a double-check for the old oil filter's gasket being left behind. Additionally, loosening the black cap on the valve cover will help with draining.
When checking the oil level, couple things: Engine temp has to be very close to 140F. Warm engine so coolant temp reads 140 F, let the engine idle 10 seconds and shut off and then check oil level BUT YOU DO NOT SCREW THE THREADS IN when checking the level, only insert the dipstick up to the threads. You'll overfill your oil and it will end up blowing into your engine intake tract and accumulate. 3.5 quarts of oil should be the max it takes with a filter change.

Thank you for watching and commenting! I very much appropriate the calling of attention to those additional details. You clearly know that machine very well! I do call-out at the end of the video that the Wolverine was brought up to operating temperature to determine the final level, but I should have emphasized it more. We are in complete agreement that with a Yamaha dry sump motor, proper fluid level is critical to prevent engine damage.

Great job I know it is tough doing all that with one hand and still trying to get good shots with the camera.

For you X2 guys, don’t make the mistake I did by taking out the wheel well cover. I broke the two push pins.
The oil filter can be reached without the disassembly.

Can’t thank you enough. May I ask what size oil filter cap wrench you used?

This is the socket I'm using: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-oil-filter-socket-p. It is 65 mm. Thanks for watching!
