"Football is a gentleman sport played by hooligans, Rugby is a hooligan sport played by gentlemen." - Winston Churchill
    Now I understand that.

The title is misleading. Because in most countries you will get a minimum 3 game ban and a percentage fine.

I'm a girl and i used to play football, but here in my country There's a saying" futebol não e para meninas "... " football is not for Litlle girls"
Cause football can be very hard...
And you react that way, cause you are not familiar with the rules and the tipe of faults ....
But they can be f***** .
    Greatings for Portugal

Conor you should look up the Leeds united team from the early seventies. They had a guy called chopper Harris in the team as an enforcer type. Back then you got away with a lot more compared to now. I was only a kid in the seventies so i only know from my dad telling me about it.
I was playing a game against a team id played for previously in a cup game. We were in a lower league and they thought it would be a walkover. Well just after half time on a defensive corner i picked up the ball just outside our box, and only had a couple of guys to beat in a foot race. They knew how quick i was and one of their guys was just behind me when i got to the half way line. He rugby tackled me from behind grabbing me around the knees! He only got a yellow for that as well. Oh and we won lol

One of the most brutal guys in the 80s was Vinnie Jones. You can see him now as Juggernaut in the x-men films, or Bullet-Tooth Tony in the Guy Richie film Snatch.

Painful but entertaining. It was fun trying to figure out what discipline the different moves would fall under. Was it taekwondo, muai thai, boxing or wrestling. Or did they practice the age old art of repeatedly kicking someone on the ground...
Some of these "football players" should really be on a sepak takraw team. There's a sport you should react to. It's insane!
You know how they made a kung-fu movie about football called Shaolin Soccer? If they did something similar with sepak takraw, it wouldn't be the same, because they already looks like stuntmen on wires doing impossible martial arts kicks.

  • @larairina3922
    @larairina3922 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes you are right. It can cost some players their career. Like "our Dutch hero from 1988" Marco van Basten. Or a tournament, Virgil van Dijk. Best defender there is concerning the journalists, other footballplayers.
If somebody fell over a piece of grass for example and acting like he has to spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair, it's called: a Schwalbe. German language indeed. 😁
You can fool the referee twice perhaps but there comes a time he will ve anoyed by you and you get the card.
Now with the VAR (videoreferee) they can easily look back if they made a wrong or right decission.
So, if there is anyone who can explain to me why there is no VAR at the World Tournament? They use it in Brasil and Argentina too!

A good portion of these should be kicked out of pro football, I don't know if it's changed but in the past they just get away with it sometimes with a match or two ban, but really these should be dealt with in court like Eric Cantona though his was a drop kick on a fan not another player.
