Don’t waste your money on the full kits. I started with one for leather working and it is a lot of junk. Tandy is quality stuff. I have been using their stuff for several years. Buy chisel tip hole punches. They can be sharpened and last much longer.
really good work for a first time! for moistness i would use a sponge in a dish of water. squeeze it out and whatever water is left in it is enough to wet your work.
Dear Sam, One of my mentors explained this to me. You will find it helpful. The length of the belt that is left loose, once passed through the loop, relates to the dingdong size of the wearer. Always leave a little leather, to play with, at the end of the belt. My pleasure.
You've got a laser cutter don't you? You can do some interesting things with leather and a laser cutter FYI. Inc cutting it neatly. the worst part is the smell and clean up.. Looks good though.
Cool project Sam! Thanks for sharing.

I already see a new leather collar for Griffin….
Old shirts work great for applying the dye

Thats some mad skills you have from. Zero. experience. Start!
well done Sam....very good looking belt....I like how it's has yours and Griffiths initials
Something cool, is that you can actually use sandpaper on leather to smoothen out the edges.
Craftsman Sam, very cool.
For a first time, it looks really good. Nice work.
Use a disc/belt sander, no pun intended, to shape things like the end. It cleans it up nicely.
When will you open online store so we can purchase a Sam belt?
Cool! I made a gun belt a few years ago. Loads of fun. Suggestion: stitch the wallet instead of gluing it together... Like the tee!
