Did the chicks survive? Can you post an update? It would be very unlikely if the poor little things survived as the two pigeons dont really mix well from the genetics point of view but i hope they did.
A wild wood pigeon can breed with a racing pigeon. Or town pigeon and successfully producing young hybrids. I didn't believe it at first but I've been reading up on it.
@@norman1741 you are welcome Norman. I've got pigeons myself and would love to cross breed them with wood pigeons or doves. I once put 2 dove eggs under my pigeons that came from a nest that accidentally got disturbed cut a small try down to repair his garden fence. The eggs hatched and the pigeons brought the young doves up fine until they got to the age of just before leaving the nest. Then for some reason they got weak and died. Shame because I would have loved to see if they got tame and came back like my other pigeons.
@@davescopes249 how sad, especially that they were almost ready to go. Do you think it was something in the food that parents fed them with? The mixure of seeds with gut acids passed on by the parents that didnt go well together?
