I find this so fascinating, because there was a scene where kate/burn is like "What about MIT", and the first 100 times you watch the movie you kinda write it off, and then after a while you start thinking "wait, when did dade talk to her about MIT? all we saw was the application in his kitchen". The fact that cereal apparently went to Harvard, kinda makes me think there was a whole college subplot that got cut.
when Iain brought out the wrap book .. 😮 this is an absolute gem of an interview and Iain was extremely courteous with his time and how deep he went into all the details. from someone who isn’t even a super fan of the movie, i thoroughly enjoyed this. can only imagine how y’all felt around 1:04:40 😅
One of my favorite movies. It came out when I was very impressionable, I was about 22. I have since become an Infosec leader and just spoke at DefCon 31 last year in Vegas. I still listen to the soundtrack, and put the movie on in the background to relax and focus.
Just incredible set of interviews you've collected, no idea why it took me so long to find this. Without a doubt, your interviews should be included on the 30th anniversary ed! Thanks for putting all of these together!
Loved the interview! Great job guys! New Hackers fan here. I watched the movie yesterday and I just fell in love with it after the first watch. I wish internet was as cool as in Hackers

They're trashing the planet 💾
So glad I found this channel! No one else I know loves this movie like I do
weird how it hits some people hard and others don't really care.
Same!
Awesome interview guys :) thanks for this :) It would be so good if the concept art was published
Love this interview. Wow. Great work. You should try to interview the Director of Photography Andrzej Sekula. CEREAL GOES TO HARVARD?!! WHAT? WOW
I need that storyboard as a book. Zomg. So cool!
"Gimme time!" :)
@@HackersCurator Did you ever acquire the storyboard book?
@@phreak761 not yet. Werw hoping to get out to london though and check out that archive one of these days
So good, thanks for doing and sharing this!
I always wanted to know was there a subplot with Mark Anthony’s character being a secret Hacker? Because he was seen at Acid Burns party dancing.
I believe he was undercover working with Richard Gill in that scene.
@@GroceryGetter-zq7zf Oh that makes sense ! I thought maybe he was going to side with the hackers because he thought the manifesto was cool.
@@D00R I always thought that could be a possibility as well.
what about a movie starring Agent Ray (Mark Anthony) in which he goes around the city saying " now that's cool " to things he see's
I thought that was John Leguizamo at first lol
Cant wait for part two!!!!
We need an official hackers movie book that includes all those amazing art pieces from the story boards!
Amazing job, thank you for this x
Did he have any uncut scenes from the movie?
Any word on an extended directors cut?
:) did you watch the interview? Haha
@@HackersCurator yes just caught the end and came back to delete my comment !
Here’s to praying for Hackers 2 🙏🏼
should have asked if the films tonal shifts are the product of studio requests and script changes during production
Hooooooly, can we get these storyboards uploaded somewhere?
A sequel would be cool
Nah
*Checks comments*...and, nothing. Iain Softley's hacker name should be Maestro.
Hack the Planet!
"You wage wars, murder, cheat, lie to us and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals."
trash a!
Soft Serve
Amazing absolutely amazing this made my day as a super super hackers fan since the movie came out💾
