Peter Singer "All Animals are Equal"

This is my overview of the argument found in Peter Singer's "All Animals are Equal" from 1974. Singer is one of the best contemporary examples of a utilitarian. He is best known for his book "Animal Liberation" and for his essay "Famine, Affluence, and Morality." "Animal Liberation" in many ways began the modern animal rights movement. This is an important reading for anyone interested in philosophy or animal ethics.

@@fernandomarte2022 Yes. The argument in Animal Liberation is more or less the same although it is more developed in Animal Liberation. I have also put together videos about animal ethics readings by Carl Cohen and R.M. Hare that you might be interested in.

All lifeforms are equally evil and have a moral obligation not to be that way. Maybe humans will elect to honour that greater ideal! Those other animals won't.
