The first book of ACOTAR is very slow I powered through it and it just didn’t hook me the way I wanted. Your videos are the best part of my day
Why do you read books? For the entertainment and fun of reading or for winning a how fast can you read books/how many are you able to read in a particular time?

@@JPcommunicates I read because books make me happy and are a way for me to relax and escape the reality of the world around us. I’m not trying to rush a book or a book series. In all honesty ACOTAR was going out of my comfort zone. I’m not giving hate to anyone who loves the series it’s just personally I couldn’t get into. I want to read books that capture my attention in the first 10 or 15 chapters. ACOTAR wasn’t my thing and that’s completely okay.
I actually really appreciate this video, it shows that it's okay to have off days too. But you handled it really well and in my eyes were very productive regardless! I never comment on videos but I just wanted to say I admire the realness of it all
Just keep reading ACOTAR it gets better, i fell in loveeeee with this series
as a reader girlie, we dnf (did not finish) books all the time! sometimes you just aren’t in the mood. i once started a slow book, put it down for like 6 months, and then finally had the urge to finish it. there’s always going to be a perfect time & mood to pick up a book. don’t be too hard on yourself for that, just read what you’re in the mood for!!!
Exactly, all the stress of needing to do and needing to live a certain way doesn't bring any happiness.

Omg girlie you should 1000% read any of Lynn Painters books (specifically her YAs) THEY R SO GOOD 😭 Ive read all of her YAs (all her books are romances btw) 3 times, one 4 times they are seriously addictive. the 1st book of acotar is very slow but the last 100 pages are fire. I was bored and had to push through but now it's one of my favourite series ever, it's SO GOOD. so I really suggest you push yourself forward just a little

💖 Journaling is not a "must to do" thing 😅 Journaling is a fun stuff.
In my case I follow a "free journaling style" so I just write when I feel the urge to do so. Sometimes I journal once a week and sometimes once every 3 months.

I would say read 4th wing over acotar! 4th wing is CRAZY fast paced easy to get into! I hated the 1st & 2nd acotar book book 3 & on are much better

It took me a while to read the first 50/100 pages of ACOTAR but after that I then finished the whole series in like a week and I was in a huge reading slump. If you love romance, keep going! It’s about to get SO GOOD!! ❤

True I don’t really recommend starting with Acotar, you should start with standalone books and not slow burn ones. I really recommend: the fine print by Lauren Asher. ( hot millionaire ceo grumpy man/ sunshine girl that work for him) and one percent of you by Michelle Gross ( grumpy tattoo guy who only soft with her and her kids 🥹/ young single mother ) ps: love ur videos 💜
Acotar is quite slow but it definitely picks up a little later, and I think it's totally worth it. But if you want a good romance I would recommend:
- Seven Year Time Slip by Ashley Poston
- Yours truly by Abby Jimenez
- Just For The Summer by Abby Jimenez
- Betting On You by Lynn Painter
