Unfinished business ... stunning video as always. Was that a high protein snack at 5:15?? 😅 This was shot nine days ago, so the day before Rebels' Revelry (4th of July). 🎉 Trust you were able to enjoy a quiet day deep in the forest away from the rabble rousers. 😊 It would seem that your jet lag is working in your favor -- early morning hiking and slumbering through the heat of the day. Sounds like the best vacation to me! Be safe; keep at it!
The northernmost hiker that I'm following this year just crossed into Oregon at the beginning of July (with help from having to skip a bunch of miles due to the Shelly fire near Etna in NorCal). There may be some hardier soles farther north than him but I don't imagine there are many. The snows in the sierras were pretty bad this year. So yeah, I can see why you haven't found many hikers up where you are. Most of the other hikers I'm following are between Mammoth and Mt Shasta.
@@LordQuiche The northernmost hiker's channel is "Bubblehead_Hikes". He's the one that just crossed into Oregon. The next behind him, now in Mt Shasta is "Rach and Dan Outdoors", just behind them in Burney is "HikingDancer", then "Call of Adventure", followed by "Focht on Foot". There are some others in that span but their videos aren't as good. The last ones are "justin and anna hit the trail"
One more, "Julia‘s Adventure Vlog", a Canadian I believe, who was forced out also in 2022, just came back to finish the PCT. She started in Seiad Valley, around July 1.
It's so nice to see you back along with a young lady from Germany I followed in '22 who just returned to the Siad Valley where she had encountered a fire and then jumped ahead to Oregon. I picked up a PCT hiker in Truckee a few days ago although many others are further along than that.
@LordQuiche The young lady back on the PCT is from Germany. She goes by: Julia's Adventure Vlog. You ans she were two of the people I followed 2 years ago along with a few others. She, too, had continued to post during the interim. Will look forward to following the two of you once again.
Beautiful trail, Owen. Thank you for sharing this journey and the hours you must put into editing. Loving them. No bear can? I did wonder if the BV475 would be your choice if doing things again? All the best and looking forward already to the next upload 🙂

Cheers Daz. I was sore all over for quite a while 😂
Yeah, we are having a heat wave in southern Oregon. Hopefully it's a little cooler up where you are. Great video.
I’m hoping it’ll be a bit cooler in Washington Sandra 😂
@@LordQuiche I hope you aren't affected by the recent fires along the trail. It looks like hwy 138 is closed in some areas.
I just managed to sneak ahead through the snow thinking I was actually too early 😳
