In this Cambodia Vlog, I go over the top 3 reasons I decided to retire in Cambodia and I also compare the cost of living for Cambodia and Canada.
Cost of Living in Cambodia 2024 compared to Canada may surprise you. After living in Siem Reap, Cambodia for almost a year I have a good grasp of the cost of living in Cambodia. So I come back to Canada and do a price comparison on rent, food, and more. In this Cambodia vlog I also tell you my number one reason for moving to Cambodia in an interview.
Retiring in Cambodia was a big shock when I told my friends and family but they now see how happy I am and support me moving to Cambodia. I hope you enjoy this Cambodia vlog about the cost of living in Cambodia and the reasons why I decided to retire in Cambodia.

Makes me want to retire in Cambodia today. The cost of living in Cambodia compared to Toronto is much better for rent, way better for beer and about the same for some foods. Overall when you add all the costs up the cost of living in Cambodia wins. Add in the fact that I work online and make western wages and it’s a no brainer if you don’t have anything holding you back. Great video and good comparisons. I rent in Toronto and pay those high rates so I get why you decided to retire in Cambodia. Looking forward to more videos about comparing prices.
Yes I decided to retire in Cambodia not just because of the cost of living in Cambodia but because of the people and culture. It’s an absolutely beautiful place to live. The cost of living in Cambodia is a big plus and I enjoy it everyday. Yes great point. If you work online and make western wages then you can definitely live well in Cambodia. The food is delicious! Your 3 reasons for retiring in Cambodia are genuine. However, there are some downsides, such as sanitary conditions, poor road conditions, poverty, hot weather, heavy rain, floods, and convenience. Siem Reap and Sihanoukville are good options.

Encouraging……I’m already in Asia but I think Cambodia is looking more relaxed friendly & cheaper living cost.
As I’m 75 it needs careful thought….but tempting.

Nice vlog mate but why is thd tax xtra in canada its included in the price in ireland😅😅

At a flat rate of 13% on most goods and much more on other goods such as gas and alcohol it just doesn’t make sense because a beer in Canada is $6 to $10 at a restaurant where it’s $0.50 cents to $1 in Cambodia.
