Nice one Monster.... My old MTB club used to (and still does I believe) do beginner friendly days. They were also hugely popular... Gives people a chance to get their feet wet into the sport without the "pressure" "older" riders half wheeling or blasting past... I always found the "beginner rides" to have the best atmosphere as well... So this vid was nice to see... Good job mate!
Yep, I am one of the ride leader for the Rookie Roundup Rides (designed for beginners) Mt. Lemmon is too advanced for true beginners but we do take riders who are in that intermediate stage and try to up their game with some very advanced trails...a lot of them are on those type of trails for the 1st time, so we take it slow and let them try to improve on their intermediate level skills so they can eventually hit those really gnarly Black Diamonds on the mountain.
It's gnarly like the double black diamonds at Sunrise, hopefully you make it out to Lemmon one day. However, wait until closer to late Oct or November, when it finally starts to cool off here a bit.
@@owtbakowtlaa you should have went to Sunrise Bike Park with us a couple weeks ago, the weather was almost cold up there in the mountains, quite refreshing.
Ha ha, it hurt a little because my body (& legs) got stretched in a weird way, not so much the fall itself, more being bent like a pretzel. I'll be back at again this weekend 😎
Details in description box for next ride
Seeing group rides like these make me miss living in Tucson! OPMTB is unmatched when it comes to getting people together on the trail.
I agree, OPMTB has more group rides every weekend then any other group. They are legit for getting riders of every skill level out on the trails.

I know the feeling been there plenty of times. I'll start mountain biking once it cools down a little.
