So so nice to see from you Jeremy, Those protectors looks great. I believe different bikes need different protectors. On my bike the handlebar and levers takes the biggest hit when dropping my bike and I also believe that the lower engine protector takes some of the hit. Those upper protectors I have isn’t that important but definitely nice to have.
And I always use to recommend a bash plate if riding gravel. Even if only ride gravel and never take the bike off-road those gravel/rocks thrown up from the front wheel hit the engine hard.

Thank you Jonas! Yes, different bikes, different bars - my handprotectors have the deepest marks followed by the upper engine bars. I also use the upper bars with an attachment for the action camera - and as a grab handle if the bike falls awkwardly. Do you have a standard bash plate or after market one?

@@HeimVegenAdvbike Yes the upper bars are perfect grab handles and mounting points.
My bash plate is an aftermarket one. Also 4mm aluminium but it’s mounted in the engine and not like yours in the frame or crash bars.
It gives good protection for sharp objects but not as good protection for hard impact I guess since it is mounted in the engine 🤔
