I was so happy to see the kids all gathered up and running around. I watch every day, remember Roman was not built in a day. You have to do what works for you and your family right now. One day at a time, moves aren’t easy. I have a suggestion, I have a pool as well and when my house was full of kids, I always had a rectangular plastic hamper full of towels daily. They would go inside when they were dry and put them in the washing machine and dryer ready to fold in the morning. When you have a pool the towels alone can overwhelm someone.

You could get one of those portable car ports and put it in the back yard as shade over your chairs. My kids loved when I did because I also got the sides and front and back. When it rains they still could sit outside with their friends. And during cook outs or party I would set table and chairs up in it plus ran lights in it. So at night during rain storms they would sit in it and listen to music with their friends plus have a picnic in it way into the night. Also put bug zapper in it to keep them away.
I think l just like spending time with your joyful smiling face. You motivate me to help as much as I can at my daughter's home where I live. Be blessed, praying for you as you all continue to transition into your new life.

Be careful for things that are considered invasive to Florida. As well as look into the growing habits of said plant top part as well as the root system. I actually was watching Greg trim the tree just the other day, and was thinking if y'all don't like the fruit just take the tree out. I have no idea what the root system is for a papaya tree but it's a little close to the house. Roots can damage the foundation as well as your pool. Which Greg has done a fantastic job. IT LOOKS So 👍👍!!! That has got to be such a blessing to jump in that pool every morning 🏊🏻♀️. Have a great weekend.
Just a suggestion. I know your were cooking for a lot more in NC so maybe just start making smaller amounts. That way it all gets eaten. You are probably just worn out from all the moving. Hope you are feeling better. Nothing wrong with resting. That’s funny that Steven was telling you to clean your room. Lol

Stop and enjoy this season! We enjoy your vlogs but you do what you need to do. You pushed yourself so hard getting the old house ready and packed up and moving. Then settling in and getting everything unpacked so… give yourself some grace and time to rest and relax. Laundry and dishes will be there tomorrow but time spent with family is precious.
Once you put a banana tree in you’ll never get rid of it, they are like bamboo you have to dig every root out otherwise they just keep growing

Hey Amy, I was watching your video and I just wanted to give you an update. I did my first chemo treatment today. So far so good. We will have to wait and see how the next couple of days play out. But I am completely 100% have faith in God that he will bring me through this and that this is for a reason and it is to teach me something and I'm just letting God guide me through

I just want to thank you for recommending the can opener you use. My husband struggles with rheumatoid arthritis and he can even use this opener easily. Electric ones are short-lived, but I've had this one 3 months, and it's just as easy to use as the day I got it.

Hi Amy, I just ordered a grocery delivery for tomorrow, my Saturday, as we have got very low and that meant a fridge clean out/ throw out I don’t usually have much to throw out and like it that way, but nice to give fridge a wife out. I don’t care who you are you always get sticky areas it’s inevitable especially with kids. As much as I hate cleaning and wiping out do love that nice clean smell when finished. I always use a fridge vanilla spray to wipe down the fridge and love the smell. I usually fold paper towels and put them on my door selves and stand bottles, jars on and when they get grotty just replace its saves on sticky door selves.
For the applesauce, how about just cooking down some of your whole apples and adding those to the store bought stuff to thicken and change the texture? I love all the improvements Greg is making to the pool area! How awesome for you! Enjoy your day and I hope you laugh today! May your soul be filled with joy!

I have a “use it up” list as a cue, for myself. Sometimes, we don’t see what is plainly in front of us.
You could make it a habit on Mondays, so by Friday’s those items are hopefully gone. IDK

Also…. My friend has a “cocktail” tree. It has lemons, limes and oranges, I believe. I have a lime tree that gives us fruit 10 months of the year.

Amy you can make applesauce baked donuts that use both your milk and the applesauce. I make them and dip in some melted butter and cinnamon/sugar. They are quick and easy! You already have the doughnut pans. I just got a recipe off Pinterest.❤

Take the red peppers off the top of humus and eat it like that. What some of my kids do. Remove what’s on top of it then eat it.

When I lived in FL I had majority of summer clothes like you, it got cooler in January and February but that was it! So once I moved back up north I had to get a new wardrobe, lol.
Lol yes i gave my wardrobe away to my good friend and now i have only these sunmer clothes lol I'll wait and see what the weather does 😉
Good afternoon. I got a late start today myself. I was on such a high on Tuesday. I was accepted as a new tenant in a low income complex just finishing construction. There are 206 units and over 900 applications. My daughter called me that night to let me know she and 2 friends are coming for a weekend. I am not sure which excites me more. Then yesterday I got a call from my current landlord and crashed my high. These emotions highs and lows are as bad as my physical ones. I was always the one to tend all the fires during my Girl Scout days. I even melted my sneakers on one trip. The back of the pool deck looks great with the new tile and patio finished. Have a terrific Thursday and I will see ya tomorrow

Amy, use your applesauce in pancakes, waffles, make applesauce cake or bread. Oatmeal with applesauce. Turn it into apple butter I use a crockpot recipe. We all go through season's and yours is changing but I'm glad to see you are enjoying your new one. God Bless.
The pool looks amazing I love the blue tiles. We live in Arizona and we have grass in the back yard and you won’t believe how much cooler it feels with the grass. I would never get rid of the grass!
Amy, you can fry up the leftover spaghetti or elbow noodles in butter with salt and pepper and enjoy them with fried eggs. Oh my goodness so good. You could probably make an apple bread with chunks of apple and apple sauce with a crumble topping with a glaze.

Actually they would probably do a better job lol i don't mind the kids doing anything...that would be why my home isn't spotless..I was referring to a normal home where laundry can sit for days because we are doing other things and the kids are too ..if you were here you would see what they do do...and the pile of laundry wasn't a big deal..it really isn't...
My kids probably wouldn't volunteer, either😂. You do have to have a system that works for whatever goes on at each house. My husband is detailed about laundry and I'm not, so he does our laundry - I used to do it, and he told me this shirt needs this, these pants need that, and I believe in a commingled laundry relationship 😂, so he took over . My kids do their own laundry weekly because they have gym clothes and things for school. We both work full-time and have someone come to clean, so we throw in sheets and towels right before she comes and she changes them out. I don't think it's a luxury - we both work and would have no free time on weekends if we didn't get a little help, and the cleaning people need to have a business and make money, too. We have stuff sit in the laundry room sometimes - doesn't matter to me, I just shut the door. 😂

I lost my mom last year in April and my dad this year in August. I'm hurting mentally and physically. And I'm just so upset because I thought my family was going to give me time to grieve. But they're forcing me out of my childhood home. Leaving me with nowhere to go.. I'm completely relying on friends that said that they would take me in and hopefully give me time to get my life together. I still feel blessed everyday. I'm just so worried about my future.
Take it one day at a time...focus on what you have to do now ..we are praying for you...God is with you

That applesauce is the best for making pumpkin muffins or apple muffins.
Don’t forget about the roots of the trees that could grow under those pavers and start to pop them up and ruin the beautiful hard work that your husband did.

I hate big containers in my frig. I get bulk things in a town down the road from where i live. I put most except for milk in different size mason jars with the screw on tops that r not metal. I put the date with masking tape. It works fabulously. U can also substitute applesauce for eggs. I don't eat eggs. It takes the same. Have a happy day😊.

You can also freeze the hummus
You mentioned not knowing how to measure how much is a pound of pasta. A 16oz box is one lb. So if it’s a larger box like 32 oz, just do half. If you keep all your spaghetti in a bulk bin then I would suggest getting one of those spaghetti measuring devices from Temu that uses little different size circles to measure out for 1 person, 2 people, etc.😍
Look for an applesauce cake recipe. My mom use to bake one once a month.
