    Great looking example of one of my favorite car from my favorite F1 era! All the Yardley BRMs were real lookers and I love the way you dialed it in and maximized the potential. Excellent!

    Thanks Harry - took me a couple of weeks to get to this - but so glad I did. Also need to work the front end on the first 72 and March's

    Just awesome cars , have a few Policar F1's myself , they just look great , and with a little effort can run better than straight out of the box . Great video .

    I can't believe I just happened to have picked up this car too. Thanks for tuning our cars! Timing is everything......and SCENERY!
    SCENERY is EVERYTHING. Think to the future! Accessories are presently way overpriced way too unavailable or cardboard. There is a resurgence happening. They last two friends I talked to got really interested. One bought his own track a week later,the other went Digital right off the trailer 🏁

    Heya Harry,another great vid,another great car.I grabbed one of these as soon as it poked its nose into my retailers inventory.A shame about the front end OOTB,mine was pretty bad,decided to flip the motor and re-route the pick up cables under the suspension unit,the bulkhead under there was easy to open up with a rat tail file,i also removed the plastic below the top motor detail to give some "breathing" space. i hope Policar produces the more famous one of these BRM P160s,namely Peter Gethins '71 Monza winning car,which beat Ronnie Petersens March 711 by 0.01 of a second! If they dont i'll just to buy another and convert the driver and decals.

    A question, I’m guessing looking at the gearing that the motor needs to spin in the opposite direction to a normal inline?

    Personally I'd just change the wires to a thinner option

    • @Homeracingworld
      @Homeracingworld ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, thats an option. But if you don't have any of that on hand....this works. And honestly not sure any wire is thin enough to clear. Tolerance is VERY close.

    What, no steering? They could build steering in the 1960s, but now it is beyond slot car manufacturers capability to provide that real element of realism.

    • @johnd8892
      @johnd8892 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both Ninco and SCX produced numerous cars with steering linked to the guide. Most Fly car F1 cars too. Standard car price mostly .
      No performance advantage and the cars go too fast to see the steering working anyway.
      A lot of racers disable the steering and glue it up as it is another thing that can and sometimes does break in a race .

      @@johnd8892 How sad that such a cool feature on open wheelers is sacrificed purely for speed. Those that glue the steering so that is solid need to sit in the sad corner for a spell.

      It's too fragile, too many moving parts. Steering is for shelf queens not race cars. I glue all my cars with steering and drill out for solid front axles.
