@@chelseasigler4668 They weren’t trying to be offensive or anything. For those of us who are non-binary, gender fluid, or transgender, pronouns are important. Otherwise it gets rather depressing as it creates a lack of acceptance, and those of us in the LGBT community are some of the most likely to commit suicide or be murdered. Happened in my city 5 years ago - an older transgender woman was lured to the car as if the people inside were asking for directions. Then they stabbed and slit her throat, and some random people in the area took their damn time to reach her - she was dead. And ALL of it was caught on security camera footage - the car, the attack, the aftermath...And as far as I know our police force don’t give a fuck and haven’t found those responsible. I’m pansexual (meaning I’ll date ANYONE) and non-binary. Personally, as right now I’m ill and in the hospital often, I just let them use female pronouns. Some days I feel feminine, some days I bind my chest to look slightly more masculine. But there are some in the community who aren’t as easy going as I am - sometimes it’s because of personal history, or where they fall on the spectrum. In my head I don’t think in a gendered way (unless I have to), I don’t have a gender - I’m just me. I was simply fortunate enough to have parents who help me find ways to bind (I can usually get away with sports bras after I lost a lot of weight) on days where I want to be masculine, but still have plenty of girly fashions, jewelry, and makeup. Look at Harry Styles - he’ll wear women’s clothing and accessories if he likes them, and he pulls them off.
