    Unrelated, I just had an interesting experience with Toastie, Divine Bloodline,Legionnaire, Laurel, and picking up Hollow Heart (from a random event) at 29:55 to get to around 170k HP.
    I noticed after I left the infinite Oni Cave in Mt Moonspell that the Reaper was missing.
    Then I hit 31 minutes and nothing seemed to happen but I could swear my kill count went up by 1. Then I watched very closely at 32 minutes and noticed the Reaper speeding toward me and dying instantly. At 33 minutes, it was dead at 33:00 before I could even get a screenshot off trying to catch him with damage numbers.
    I don't know if that's ever worth a video, but manually spawn camping lv1091 Reapers while Legionnaire sits on 1.7G dps and 2.8T damage dealt is something I hadn't encountered before. It might only work due to Divine Bloodline and Toastie's 65k Armor.

    Multihit is propably a different stat than attack speed. You get an another variable. Like 10% multhihit, is an extra attack every 10 attacks. And attack speed just boosts how fast the 10 attacks are made.

    from what i have noticed, multi hit works like this, if its +.1 then every 10 attacks there is an additional attack shot. Kind of like +.3 projectiles, you will see on the archer there will be say two arrows and then every 3rd attack has a third arrow going out.

      I think phantom needle has the key word multi shot because one of the upgrades splits the shots. It would multiple the splitshot, so it would be 2 x .1 + x.1 for 2.4 shots and if you doubled it it would split into 2.8 needles.

    For maximum damage it is advised to use as many different increasing factors as possible.
    As an example on needles with 100% critchance :
    You have +6 base damage (=20%), 20% total damage and 0.2 base crit.
    If with 3 upgrades you were to always choose 20% damage you would have
    30 dmg (base) x 1.6 (60% increase) x 2 (crit) = 96 dmg
    With diversified upgrades you would have
    30 + 6 base damage x 1.2(20%dmg) x 2.4 (0.2 base crit) = 103.7 damage.
    Which is only a bit more, but diversifying damage multiplicators should be kept in mind I think.

    Doubling the 20% dmg 50% range trait on cleric is really good you'd think hitting more targets would lower your damage/kills but what ends up happening is you clear the screen fast enough that you are hitting fewer enemies at a time actually increasing your damage per hit

    I may be misunderstanding but I assumed the % chance to multihit rolled whenever you attacked and depending if you landed the multi attack chance it proccd. Maybe that is the case for the attack speed buff?

      Multi attacks in this game aren't random. If you have 50% multi hits you get exactly 50% more hits. Every second one doubles.

    Hello my friend, been following siltently since vampire survivors, and recently got into halls of torment after checking out a couple of videos of yours. pretty fun so far, it's just that the proficiency traits are kinda confusing, basically I never know what excludes what, does it apply only to proficiency stance stuff or also weapon proficiency, do abilities have traits that exclude each other etc etc, can you maybe pull off a quick guide that explains the whole system or is as basic as everything exclude the opposite in all categories and you always want to memory pot?

      If you learn path if exile this game is a meme compared to it.
      Each skills has tags which are not shown so you have to guess them thats a bummer, but not too hard.
      When you hover with the mouse over a trait a description in the left tells you to which skill (s) the trait applies to
      Most bonuses are additive and a few are multiplicative (“+10% aditional projectile count)

    I kept crashing too. It's super frustrating when it happens deep into a run when you are trying to do a quest.

    Just got the game I crashed yesterday near the end of a run on stage 2 as well, was the farthest i had gotten as well :( anyone have tips for crashes?

    Isnt range actually bad, because the needles wont explode on top of enemies but behind them?
    Just wondering, could be wrong

      So here is the complicated part and why I doubted range but wasn't sure:
      When you get the split up of the projectile, it happens on the first hit. Then it splits up into 2 projectiles. Then the 2 projectiles are affected by range (I'm pretty sure).
      If you do not pick range, you also miss out on 5 piercing. If the projectiles get "used up" before they expire, they won't explode at all, like they just disappear. So it's a really tough balancing act of "I need enough piercing so my projectiles don't disappear but also shoot in a way they don't travel past all enemeis"

    10% multihit means that on average every 10 hits there is one extra Shot instantly, basicly a rng based extra hit. Sometimes you have 2 extra Hits at 5 attacks and not a single one at 50 hits. Weird mechanic

    I just hope they give more buffs to the Warlock and to SLAPPO, the Slapping Golem. Nothing beats seeing the Golem CLAP THEM monsters cheeks to death.

    There are some localization errors so I asume,
    the multihit instead of shooting an aditional needle (double attack on prock),
    got mistaken for faster shots, cause
    more needles/second = faster attackspeed (theoreticly).
    ALGORYTHM!!!
    ps. I wrote this mid video, so later on the same idea came up.

      The ability's description when you're about to pick Phantom needle does mention that multihit affects atk speed instead of projectile amount iirc. Did they change this? Because I was confused as to why Dex was talking about this.

      In a few cases, the're localization issues (crit chance mistakenly named crit damge ect.) so we assume the aditional needle via multihit trigger was counted like more needles were shot per second.

      It mentions multihit affects attack speed, but it didn't affect attack speed, that's where my issue came in. That's where I paused the video and made the comparison before and after we got the multihit +10%, because I would have expected a 10% increase in attack speed, but the value was the same.
      But in my testing I also didn't see it shoot in uneven patterns, so if multihit would just mean "it shoots multiple projectiles *in a row*", then I would expect to see a pattern like:
      (x = projectile, o is waiting to recharge):
      x o o o x o o o x x o o x o o o x x o o
      In other words where other weapons shoot out multiple strikes at once, this one would just have a double trigger on the projectile in a sequence.
      But I didn't see that despite going for the gauntlets (+30%), the 40% upgrade of the archer and the 20% bonus from the trait.

    Try fragile with burn, i was able to get over 1400 burn damage with it, i melted the final boss. I remember when it capped at 500 and you were very sad.

    Figured the attack speed going through more enemies is during its life if it goes thru more enemies it’s faster? Lmfao def need some tune ups compared to vampire
