Molly & Legend: The Ultimate Duo !! I miss the Cruise-Ship reviews since covid started, but glad to see everyone at In The Loop doing well and healthy!
I am so excited to FINALLY get back to Six Flags Great America tomorrow after what will be 548 days (yes I've been counting lol) since I last visited my home away from home. I have never been this excited to visit the park that I have visited dozens upon dozens of times in the last 15 years. I swear I might cry tears of joy tomorrow (and I very rarely cry for anything) after what has been such has been a horrible and miserable time that we all have been thru.
@@elenaaguirre4395 Lines were definitely longer than I was anticipating for a monday in June, but I think there were a some large school/youth groups there. I waited about an hour each for Goliath, Superman, and X-Flight. I waited like 30-40 mins for Raging Bull. I waited around 20 mins each for Batman, V2, and Eagle. Viper was a station wait, but that was also very early on in the day.
This is the closest Six Flags park to where I live. It's also my tenth favorite amusement park and second favorite of the five Six Flags parks I've been to behind Six Flags Magic Mountain.
My dad used to get tickets from work (Evenrude Motors) for like 10 dollars a piece. Yeah like 40 years ago. Lol!. We went every year for like 20 years strait. I got to see all the different rides come and go. Most of my childhood favorites are gone or converted. Even went the first year Six Flags bought the park from Marriotts. Those were the days. So glad the Eagle is still there, we would ride that thing at night over and over like 10 times without getting off at the end of the night when most people left and you could just stay on if no one was in line for your car. Didn’t even have to run all the way around just had to get off and go behind the gates and wait for the next train. I sure miss those days.
I was working there that day and you can just barely see me operating the Hangover! We also always take advantage of the name, a lot of the time when it stops upside down the operator will ask “How’s it hanging?” Or “Are you guys hanging in there?”
Yes my home park too… and it’s usually a good time. However, my biggest complaint is the size of the crowds that usually come. I know this happens in many other parks, but sometimes it’s gets so bad that lines for anything become dangerous for the people who are not keeping themselves hydrated on hotter days. This park lacks much needed shade. Some rides like the raging bull have decent shade, but many others don’t. I have seen people literally fall out while they were in line because of the heat, sun, and just lack of shade. Not just once, but multiple times. I’ve been to the park where the line, just to get in the park, stretched all the way to the second parking lot. When it gets like that, it’s just not fun anymore.
I love this park, and its my home park! X flight is my favorite ride! But we waited TWO hours to ride Goliath. I got scared once we were about to get on so I ended up not riding it and waited for my mom and neighbor. I regret it but I will definitely do it this summer.🎢
