Slow creativity is something we're all missing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and wisdom with me! We need more of these where we don't need to consistently force ourselves to create but just to have it flow and come to us more naturally. Good things take time! Keep up the amazing work!

Absolutely. I think it's important to sit down and actually think about what it is we want to create and why we want to create it, instead of just creating to race against others. I'm glad you could relate!

I really appreciated this perspective May. I also sometimes think about “the competition” 😅 - feels weird when talking about creative endeavors. The constant pressure to “create” and “win” at creating discourages me. When it becomes my focus I usually end up creating less on the whole. I love the idea being ready to recognize inspiration and seize the moment however often and whenever it hits.

@@__soto_soto__ I appreciate you, Cal! Yes, creating to compete is exhausting. It's much easier to do it when we just do it for our own sake without any pressure to compete. I'm so glad you enjoyed my video man!

This really speaks to me. I'm currently on a break myself from making videos and I keep trying to find something to film about but I just can't. I need to be more realistic about my relationship with my creativity. Thanks for making this, it's really helpful!

I've been there so many times, which is why I wanted to make this video. It took me a long time to realize what actually fuels my creative ideas and that is just living my best life and getting inspired from that rather than thinking about what I should be inspired by. Hope that helps!

this is so thoughtful and well done. as a new video creator, i also feel the pressure to always perform and whenever i capture moments, it feels a little artificial. thanks for making this.

thank u so much, that truly means a lot! i think it is easy to be overwhelmed by the competitive race, but I've learned over the years that fast doesn't necessarily mean better

I think creativity can be forced, but it takes effort, structure, dedication and fokus. And it's hard to create in general so it's 100 times harder to keep up a creative routine.

I don't disagree. I think it can be forced/pushed to a certain degree. If you try really hard to think about it or let's say, write down 50 ideas, I'm sure you will end up with something. I just don't think it will ever be as good as if it came naturally to you
