Nobody seems to want to here about that side of this equation. So will the kids regret the choices that are being made in this day and time. If these kids don't appreciate the privilege of playing for Bama WE DON'T NEED THEM!! I am happy that Coach Saban got out while he had his sanity intact... Peyton Woodyard leaving is a bit of a blow, he’s a depth piece with great upside. Longer season means you need more depth. Can’t say who’s going to play and who’s not, every player is just an injury away from being the next guy up. RTR

I remember when Alabama was headed to the Final Four, and the episode of Hey Coach had Rylan Griffin and Nate Oats (I believe it was Rylan, and Nate. Correct me if im wrong) But Rylan seemed to me like he was not into the situation, the interview, or the conversation as a whole. He was very mono tone, and didn't show any emotion. My impression instantly went to "This guy will be gone come next season." Watching players like Stevenson. He was all smiles, happy as he could be, and was loving the fan support. That's one reason I'd give anything to see Mark Sears come back, and it's looking like it's better than 50%. Grant Nelson returning, and with the outstanding lineup Nate Oats is building? I'm ready for the Bama basketball dynasty, along with the continuation of the Bama football dynasty. Built by Bama big baby! #RollTide
When a person that was just let out of jail for a violent crime because of the no bail system. When that person who should be locked up, pushed a 68 year old lady down the stairs in front of a church no less, that person shouldn’t be on the streets in the first place. If so that lady wouldn’t have her head busted open. What does that teach young people. It teaches them they can do whatever they want & nothing will happen to them. Same reason the state of Oregon literally decriminalized all drugs in small amounts, I mean the hard stuff. Now a couple years later they turn those rules around, they realized it didn’t work. No consequences for bad actors doesn’t work!!

I think that he saw his star rise during the spring and is seeking a program where he gets on the field earlier. However, your role can change dramatically if there is an injury or two in the position room. It's more a sign of the time with limitless transfer and higher NIL money elsewhere. With only 11 people on the field at a time, teams need to re-recruit their roster every day!

NIL & the NCAA has already college football & these kids should not be paid a dime. They are getting a free college education, room, Board, clothes, shoes, football trips, etc. I believe in paying for one or two recruiting trips per year. The players who deserve to be in the NFL and get paid will make by draft or free agency. Just because you are good enough to play DIv. 1 football does not give a special privilege of earning money. The coaches have already paid their dues by earning a college degree & working hard early in their careers to make big money at the best football programs

It doesn't sound like he was going to play as much as he was hoping to instead of putting in the work to beat out the competition when you are the higher rated player. Makes you wonder if he wasn't as good as projected. Because he gave up against lower rated players. Not a great look when the NFL is looking at you wanting to be sure you are worth millions of dollars before some NFL team strokes him a big fat check.
Hate woodyard is leaving and we missed out on ed woods but bama will be fine they will still dig into the portal for needs and plenty to work with with whats already there Mich St must have gave woods a big NIL deal why else would he go to Mich St Jarin Stevenson better be advised to come back

That’s pretty disingenuous. I believe that the first amendment applies to me, but if I get together a group of people and go form a tent city on the quad, harass students and disrupt school activities then I would expect UAPD to be escorting me to the county jail pretty quickly.

You did wish him well and that’s great. However you then followed up at the 12 minute mark relating this woodyard situation and other transfers to kids not learning that there will be consequences of their decisions/ actions. You intimated that kids leave when it gets difficult. You compared it to the campus protesters. Woodyard and these kids are making business decisions for the most part. There is no indication he left due to it being too difficult or because he’s woefully misguided. The cfb landscape has forced this on them by creating this system/ opportunity. Woodyard has assessed his situation and chosen to invest his time into being coached by the db coaches at Oregon or maybe he is getting more NIL $ or whatever. It may turn out to be a poor decision or it could be great. You work in business. You understand that not every play goes the way we want. This is his play. He’s probably had others advise him. For most kids getting in the portal is far from emotional/ irrational decision making these days. Frankly most of them have impressed me with how savvy they are and how unafraid they are to make a move. These kids are playing by the rules they’ve been given and they are doing well with it for the most part. Fans just have to learn not to get to attached to the personalities and potential. Fans want these kids to love their school like the fans do. That’s fantasy nonsense with a few exceptions. Many of them never have. It’s just more out in the open now. The school I love is used by these kids the same way the school uses them. Getting emotionally tossed because a potentially good player broke up with your school is childish.
IMO Alabama is well in the plus column since CKD got hired regarding kids making business decisions via the portal.
