How do you pick a reliable breeder? Signs, etc.????? I love your videos!!! I really need to know this!!! We are thinking of getting a Doberman but need to know this!!!!
Could you tell me more about how you tell her the person approaching is “ok” before they come up to you. I think that would be nice to learn about. I’m considering getting a female Doberman as a body guard since I am about to live alone. I would like to get very detailed with training.
This was so interesting! I’ve never been around a Doberman before, but would love to get one sometime in the future. Your videos make me want one. It’s interesting to me that people will walk to the other side of the store if you bring your dobie with you. I get the same reaction with my German Shepherd dog.
My Doberman was the sweetest girl and never would’ve turned on me. Me and her were the only ones who played rough lol. She could catch me sprinting across the yard at a trot LOL. I would get one.
Mine turned on me. He takes up 9/10th of the bed. I get up to turn off my alarm and he steals my pillows. Okay, so that's small stuff. He is super loving other than that. My big boy is 7 and such a cuddle puppy. He loves people and really loves his family. And we love him too!
Just hearing you describing the myth I already knew that it was false! Even just thinking about it logically the Doberman wouldn’t be registered in multiple kennel clubs if they all turned on their owners.
I think that all the information out there on any breeds being born aggressive or turning on there owners is all a big myth it’s totally how u raise them. Lots of love 😊
Alyssa Growden I agree with you for the most part! I’ve met some dogs where there’s some aspect of genetics factored into their aggression, but with proper handling most dogs really are your best friend 🤍
Katy Bing hey Katy, I completely agree with what you said. I was unfortunate enough to have a dog who had an unknown mental issue. He was the sweetest dog in the entire world and was raised (by me) from a puppy. He was socialised so so much with other people and dog we took him everywhere with us. As the years went on he started to snap in and out of being sweet and adorable to being a dog I didn’t recognise ( he never but me or anyone for that matter) it was scary how my gorgeous boy who just wanted to cuddle could be so well aggressive. We took he to training at many places (spending a lot of money on it for that matter) only to be told “he’s untrainable” and “hopeless” at this point we didn’t know there was an underlining issue. A few months ago I was walking him and he lashed out at someone (growling, barking, jumping, scratched her) lucky the lady was fine and he didn’t do any serious damage so that day we took him to our vet and he was observed by a dog behaviourist and they said that we could spend thousands of dollars on training and it wouldn’t help bc of a switch in this brain kinda like how you were talking about the myth but his was on and off. And the only options were to get him on pills which could make it worse and he could attack me or my family have him locked in the backyard and house for the rest of his life which I would never ever do to him I think that’s cruel and no life for a dog just as putting him on pills would be and our only other option was to put him down, we couldn’t rehome him bc of the virus none of our animal shelters were excepting dogs and he couldn’t bc he was a danger. So we got him put down that same day it was heart braking and I’m still a mess to this day thinking that I made a mistake even though I know it was the only right thing to do bc I love him so so so much I always will and I didn’t want him to hurt someone in my family or on the streets bc then I wouldn’t be able to forgive him but now I do forgive him bc it wasn’t his fault the world did him dirty and him and myself had to pay the consequences it’s so heartbreaking but trust me when I say I tried everything humanly possible to keep him but it was his time I’m just lucky to have loved him as long as I did and get to spend those few years with him. We still don’t know what was wrong with him and that will forever haunt me not knowing if the vets and trainers were wrong and I could of saved him but all I do know is that I love him so so so much and grief is a torturous thing that I didn’t expect to feel for him for so many more years to come. He was an amazing gsd and deserved so much better then what he got that you for reading this if you did I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t it’s extremely long and well yeah
Our female doby just passed. She is sorely missed. We plan to get another one fairly soon. Do you care to recommend any breeders? I heard you say you live in Az. We live in Prescott. She was my wife's service dog. She loved her job!
Love your page! I also am thinking about getting a Doberman - I have a couple of questions! 1. Do you need to have specific feeding times? I know my family has other dogs and they basically just share out of the same dish and food is always out. Curious to your thoughts. I know that’s when most dogs get aggressive. 2. I’ve heard not to get two females in the same household - you have two females so I’m assuming that’s not true. 3. It’s really important for my Doberman to get along with all sorts of animals (dogs, horses Ect) I know everyone says to socialize but what specifically does that mean? 3. Does having all the dogs on the couches instill any dominance issues? I’m studying up a ton before I get one to make sure I’m well prepared and ready to train. The thing that makes me the most worried is that she’ll be aggressive towards other dogs and I won’t be able to bring her around my extended family and their pets. Thanks!!!
Awesome video! What are some of the best ways to keep dobermans mentally stimulated and maybe something that can keep them entertained/ thinking while you are at work?
I hate when breeds are labeled as aggressive. I get where they're coming from, but come on. Dogs like a pitbull are a hell of a lot more nice to you than a Chihuahua.
My sister just got my 5 yr old niece a pitbull (Boy) In my opinion I feel that she should have never bought a pitbull because she has no experience, She did not take the time to read up on the breed but to each its own. I mean Ace is sweet and all but my sister is not doing anything to train him. She calls me everyday asking what to do , all I said to her was I think you need to go to training classes with him. Pitbull are a damn good breed but without training I think they can become aggressive.
Hi Katy, great video again with a lot of knowledge! Since 1,5 month we have our new dobermann, but struggling a little bit with the ears. I can see Indy has her ears still cropped most of the times? Do you have any tips? Maybe it's a cool video idea! Best regards from the Netherlands! ❤️
I find what you are saying is very helpful and you know what you're talking about. However, can I give you some constructive criticism as a presenter? As I was watching your videos I realized I was feeling conflicted. The logical part of me thought you were passing on great information that I could really learn from. While the emotional part wasn't taking you to seriously. So, as I continued watching I tied to figure it out. I realized it was how much you touch your hair and the nonverbal cues that signals. For instance in the first 1:33 of this video, you played with your hair 4 times. I have watched 4 of your videos and you did the same thing in all of them. Again, I know this is weird but please research it. My heart is to help you gain subscribers not to put you down. I was thinking other views might not know why they aren't taking you seriously and just not subscribe. I decided to risk and tell you so that you can think about it. I look forward to learning from you how I can better raise my Doberman.
First, let me say, you are a beautiful young lady and I hope you find your soul mate to marry and have beautiful children. I very much enjoy your Doberman videos. I watch a couple of other peoples' videos on Dobermans i.e. Richard Heinz mostly and sometimes Doberman Planet. I want a female Doberman that comes from good breeding as a companion dog and hopefully would protect me, if need be. I have been thinking about calling or emailing Richard Heinz just to find out how much a fully trained Dobie would cost. I'm sure it's a fortunate, and not a possibility for me, but I am curious. His videos says he does fully train and sell dogs. I will continue to watch your videos and try to learn as much as I can about Dobies.
I love your videos! Just a suggestion; May you please make a video about training Doberman. And what equipment to have. (Toys, cages, etc.)
You’re videos are so informative I love it! Also girl you’re so pretty!💞

I have had both male and female Dobermans and you are spot on about the differences between the genders.

Right? I get not trusting a dog you don’t know, but it’s crazy to me what a stigma they have 👏🏼

No breed is born human aggressive. If there any dog that is, then more of indivuals and result of bad breeders.
can you say your opinion on cropping ears and tail
Our female doby just passed. She is sorely missed. We plan to get another one fairly soon. Do you care to recommend any breeders? I heard you say you live in Az. We live in Prescott.

I totally agree. Dobies are amazing dogs!
Emma S right?! I’m going to be a Doberman mom forever 🤍

There are dogs and then there are Dobermans.

Luke Tolley that is awesome🤍
Hi Katy :)
Thanks for the info, I’ve always liked the look of dobermans
I am getting a new Doberman...have any recommendations?

Although pits aren’t bred to be human aggressive, you should always do your research on any dog breed and the dog history.
@@Awaken12578 True but my sister thinks she know everything so
I want either a Doberman, German Shepherd or a Siberian Husky.

Jerome Sijen ears are a pain in the butt, but stay consistent!!!
@@katybing3452 Yes, they really are! Especially when they are a little bit longer than usual. Will do, thank you for your reply! ☺ keep it up Katy
where are you from?
I love our two Dobermans they’re amazing❤️💗
New subscriber..I love doberman breed and I have one..😍
Great video Katy very educational🥰
Dogs snapped due to there owners. Thats why human should be very careful because whatever energy you give your dog ... gods will adopt it.
