i can well imagine this man has his detractors but he must be given enormous credit for his intellectual honesty and his sense of urgency when it comes to being seen as having integrity and indeed his clarity of thaught. very likely we are fortunate that the majority of folk have perhaps a more easy going sense of values and convictions but Bercow stands out for his zeal and his egalitarian value system. like him or not he is indeed most formidable and one has to admire his courage. because of the enormous talent cultivated within the body politic for "double speak" this mans veiws are refreshing for the convictions that frame his utterances. add to this his pride in speaking the mother tongue with such extraordinary flair one is left to muse that this man really was far too clever to ever get to the top !!!!!!!!!

Sale of council houses by thatcher was a cynical cheap disposal of tax payers money as a result the wealthy middle class were increased and bought as tory voters. In the process working class communities were undermined.

Not really a grilling. Briefly touched on his appalling views, but didn't really hold him to account. Treats other guests differently. How does he decide which ones to treat which way?

Bercow, despite the toffy accent that may rub some people the wrong way, seems like one of the most interesting people to have a conversation with - though he does wax lyrical a bit 😅

i like Bercow's accent but that moggy fop drives me up the wall.
fyi, i'm american with a pronounced southern accent and as a britcom fan savor the myriad brit accents (with the exception of the aforementioned moggy and his buddy farage).
