I started in late 80's. I remember Nyjah as a tiny ripper with dreads who I really hoped would stay on "board" and not fall off because he was so naturally gifted, and sooo many of that type fall off,they get burnt or bored of skating so to see him fully successful and still ripping and innovating is rad. Think of all the super good young kids that you never seen again.....

Agreed, he almost looks like an alien he is so comfortable with these super gnarly tricks making a 20 stair handrail look like a damn flat rail. Plus the times he has come in clutch in competitions is crazy. Dude is not human on a skateboard
Agreed, just all around: street, contests, he can do transition pretty well. Overall I think he's the best and he's put out a lot of video parts that are all pretty long. Shane used to be my favorite and still in my top 5 but Nyjah has to take number 1 for me. Dude is like an alien on a skateboard, every time I watch him I'm impressed. Like those lines he did on the ledges one Saturday episode. Never seen him skate many ledges but he just does two lines that are just insane and it all looked easy to him!
@@anxietygang6403 Shane's tech can't be matched but I don't feel he's quite Nyjah level overall. Shane never skates handrails anymore. Nyjah does every street obstacle you can do: huge gaps, rails, ledges, all of it and is even decent at transition. Imo Yuto isn't quite there yet. He will be in a year or two but he just doesn't quite have the bag of trick Shane or Nyjah have. Plus Nyjah has beat them so many times in contests with random unplanned tricks. I hate when they always plan the same run and tricks but Nyjah can change his tricks up on the fly and do something totally different based on his score.
Bastien salabanzi Tampa pro winning run and well that whole event really, also his "unreleased" part was the last time I remember being this impressed. Young Bastien still IMO was the more stylish but less consistent (except Tampa) Tampa that day is the crack cocaine of skateboarding history. Huston vs Cole and the other pro's In 2013 or 14 was pretty dope tho.
This is at Cal State Los Angeles, just graduated from here. If you go down towards the baseball field there is a 15 stair with a perfect rail to grind. check it out next time
