We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $109k now to put in the market.

@@devereauxjnr Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

@@serahfreeman1647 forex trading is not the type of business you rush into because others are doing it. Many people tend to perceive investment as aventure with alot of unseen risk, but if you don't take risk you will never reach that height you desire.
Trading futures, bonds, and options require a lot of time to learn the rules and you must learn then well. Take your time, learn the plays and practice using a simulation account before you place that first live trade. Always, remember on every trade there's someone else on the other side of the trade and their intention is to win the trade. Scoring small incremental wins are a lot more success than trying to hit home runs. Best of success and keep on striving fam.
I started with penny stocks in april took my losses april prices are at they're highest. I lost money in april. I cut the cable off and read books on candlesticks. Learned different strategies watching SAIN, Dunlap Wallstreet trapper Richard all these different perspectives helped me. I also ran on 4 hours sleep because im my best teacher. You cant trade like other people because you different. Now as of today Im up 6.78% on penny stocks. Now that Im getting better I add 20 bucks daily to my brokerage account. Im only at like 400 bucks but Ian right start small. I didn't have 10 grand but when I do get it I know what to do. I also watched several videos on RSI ADX Fibonacci. Yup! I got my Series 6 and 63 on Wall St. NY w JP Morgan Chase. Same place where we were bought and sold! This was never lost on me. There are burial grounds and the Slavery Museum is all near Wall St in the Financial District! Crazy what we have been through! 🙏🏽
I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore.
There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

Great info on here! But one side note.. You can absolutely profit in the stock market when stocks go down. It's called shorting. Bill Ackman is famously known for shorting the stock market back in March when it dropped heavily. I believe he turned 27 million into 2.6 billion dollars. But still, great stuff y'all. Stop losses can't always save you... Especially if you're swing trading. For example, if someone was long oil before the crash about a week ago a stop wouldn't have saved them because the price gapped down. You need to combine your positions with options for protection (e.g. long position + long OTM put + short OTM call).

You can literally blow up your account and still owe money to the brokerage firm if you're not properly hedged

Inverse ETF’s can take advantage of the downside stocks without the immense risk of options. HIBS, SQQQ, STRY are three examples of 3X leveraged etf’s. So little swings get three times the value. And they all have opposites like HIBL, qqq for example.

Trading futures, bonds, and options require a lot of time to learn the rules and you must learn then well. Take your time, learn the plays and practice using a simulation account before you place that first live trade. Always, remember on every trade there's someone else on the other side of the trade and their intention is to win the trade. Scoring small incremental wins are a lot more success than trying to hit home runs. Best of success and keep on striving fam.

I started with penny stocks in april took my losses april prices are at they're highest. I lost money in april. I cut the cable off and read books on candlesticks. Learned different strategies watching SAIN, Dunlap Wallstreet trapper Richard all these different perspectives helped me. I also ran on 4 hours sleep because im my best teacher. You cant trade like other people because you different. Now as of today Im up 6.78% on penny stocks. Now that Im getting better I add 20 bucks daily to my brokerage account. Im only at like 400 bucks but Ian right start small. I didn't have 10 grand but when I do get it I know what to do. I also watched several videos on RSI ADX Fibonacci. If I didn't understand something I watched it again. I also study the news as well because sometimes indicators dont help stocks go up or down because of the news. Good luck to my fellow begg

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore.
There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

I love your videos, since I learnt a bit on personal finance I have been saving and investing a huge part of my income into the market even after making profits I keep reinvest to grow my portfolio. Hopefully my portfolio keeps growing so I don't have to look over my shoulder after retirement.

Great info on here! But one side note.. You can absolutely profit in the stock market when stocks go down. It's called shorting. Bill Ackman is famously known for shorting the stock market back in March when it dropped heavily. I believe he turned 27 million into 2.6 billion dollars. But still, great stuff y'all. Stop losses can't always save you... Especially if you're swing trading. For example, if someone was long oil before the crash about a week ago a stop wouldn't have saved them because the price gapped down. You need to combine your positions with options for protection (e.g. long position + long OTM put + short OTM call).
Hes not a swing trader tho or even came claimed to be one, he intra trades so for him, Stop Losses are everything
@@hmosesmamulu6491 1) He describes himself as a "short term" trader and describes swing trading at 24:39 where he tells people it has a higher win percentage. 2) He tells people to start with long term investing at 51:18 3) He never mentions the risks of holding a longer term swing trade positions with only a stop loss. You can literally blow up your account and still owe money to the brokerage firm if you're not properly hedged

Inverse ETF’s can take advantage of the downside stocks without the immense risk of options. HIBS, SQQQ, STRY are three examples of 3X leveraged etf’s. So little swings get three times the value. And they all have opposites like HIBL, qqq for example.
