Unlike a real time action game, turn based gameplay doesn't transmit much energy by itself. So the visuals, and especially the music, have to compensate for that.
@@pauloandrade925 As an avid P5 fan, the energy in the battles comes from the visuals and the audio, not the gameplay. The combat system is great and it's extremely fun, but if you stripped it down into white text on a black background, it wouldn't feel so *hype*. It would just be very satisfying and engaging. None of this is bad, mind you, I love turn bases games. I was just trying to point out that the simple fact that turn based games are effectively paused unless you press buttons means there is no way for them to make you feel urgency or panic the way real time games can, because there is literally no hurry.
