It has always seemed to me that anything from that era, especially that was touched by Mitose/Chow and their Kenpo tendencies..... really encourages self expression and personalization. The opposite of hardcore karate styles at the time, which not only encouraged, but demanded, conformity in all but the most subtle nuance. This is a great discussion.
Another outstanding video! Thanks to all of you for sharing, I really appreciate this lesson in history and love the way you brought Joe Emparado to light for those of us who just don't know. Keep it coming, I really appreciate this type of content. Mahalo!
Nice love it,exelent topic as usual🙏🙏🙏,I got a ?that no body could answer it ,may be you could do and interview with same masters and ask them ,why if all were Black belts, they decide to create kajukembo, instead to continúe in their main sistems?
Thank you for sharing 🙏

You are very welcome brotha!
The whole reason they chose Denver as the location for the first UFC was the fact that there was NO boxing commission.
Yeah it was a crazy time. The government was trying to ban MMA.
Kajukenbo had five founders: Adriano D. Emperado, Peter Choo, Joe Holck, Frank Ordonez, and Clarence Chang.

That's a good question. Look up my last three interviews with Mitch because he talks about that.
Chow was doing all that before Emperaldo who do you think he learned it from all came from Chow basically and Emperaldo repackaged it added forms etc.
I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing that information and checking out the show.
