Hello Zack, Nice to see you uploaded new videos again! I believe most of your viewers were really grateful that you put in so much efforts in making every of videos so worth-watching. You took the trouble to travel all the way from Malaysia to Singapore and vice versa just to show us the price difference of 3 meals in Malaysia compared to Singapore. We were really appreciative... Having said that, if we dun based on the exchange rates of SDG to RM (which I could not resist doing it ha), I would think Malaysia pricing has gone up by quite a fair bit compared to pre-covid days. Like what you said, most economical way is to work in Singapore and live in Malaysia but there would always be a trade-off by doing that; which means you would need to beat the traffic congestion of travelling to Singapore for work daily, although I know many people were doing this but it could be a hassle at times. Anyway, in life there is no such thing as win-win situation, everything comes with a price depending on what you are looking for. Last but not least, thank you for always creating interesting videos for us, please keep them coming, I am certainly looking forward to seeing more of your videos again soon, take care !

I did a google search to compare salary for skill worker job among SG and JB.
Technician, SG earns average of S$2300 and JB around RM2400.
Admin Assistant, SG earns average of S$2100 and JB around RM1860.
Of course showing average salary is not proofing anything but it give an index of the standard of lifestyle we can comfortably live with.
An that explains if Malaysian in JB wants to live a similar lifestyle as in SG, they will probably have to source more than one area of income or work in other well paying sectors they might not keen in.

HDB housing in SG got resale value. I don't think so for Malaysia side that built by both govt. so when SG citizens retired they can down grade n add on to their CPF retirement account.
cars r not needed in SG too since there is a well planned good public transport system. so SG got the option not to own a car, not so for MY. traffic situation in MY will be as bad as people's livelihoods. I think there is B55 instead of B40 since more r made poorer each month.

    hmm...

What many people don't realize is that Singapore doesn't control their interest rate, they control the exchange rate slope. That's why when things are starting to get expensive in Singapore, the government will strengthen the currency hence, to you, the goods price remained the same or even cheaper. It's a strategy employed by SG for a long time. Actually, in big cities like Malaysia like Klang Valley, some professional jobs actually pay higher than SG dollar to dollar. For example, a marketing manager in Singapore earns S$4000 but, in KL, he/she earns RM7000 etc.

Thanks for replying. After sending out the message, to you, I go around searching the web and learned that there is an easier and more efficient way to create the subtitle.
      1. Update the video to youtube (choose Unlisted, don't publish it to the public yet). Make use of TH-cam to auto generate the subtitles. You can choose the language you want TH-cam to generate.
      2. Download the subtitle into SRT file format.
      3. Import the SRT file into your video editor with your original video. You can edit the subtitle where neccessary as TH-cam may not auto generate some part of the subtitle wording correctly. Personally I use Final Cut Pro on the Mac. I think the same feature should be available in some other professional video editors that run on Windows such as Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve.
See if you like to try the above approach so as to make the video editing work more efficient and save on effort and time.
Video editing work really takes a lot of effort and time. Hence i always want to learn how to be more efficient at it

Taking into consideration of all aspect without the currency rate. Malaysia are genuinely much more expensive. I don't think the housing is that much cheaper neither in Malaysia with the price of hdb in Singapore compared to the type of housing you can get in Malaysia it just means you get a bigger living space but doesn't really mean it's more affordable with what you will earn by average working class. People always tend to Compare both side with the exchange rate in mind but forgetting the average salary of both country are more or less pretty similar without converting the currency. And in Malaysia a car is like a must which adds on to the burden while in Singapore you can get by without one. So by adding the need for a vehicle and petrol in Malaysia its no doubt the cost of living in Malaysia is higher.
