  • Watch as I paint a plein air water mixable oil painting of a farmhouse in Andalucia Spain. This landscape painting has an abstract foreground which follows the tradition of the impressionist painters and is quick and easy to do outdoors en plein air.
I use minimal equipment - just three paints plus white so that all the mixed colours are harmonious and fit together as a whole. I'll show you step-by-step how I paint this landscape in the hope that you too will want to get your paints out and be inspired to paint.

Great video. Do you use the wmo with water for the underlayer (red) and the drawing stage, and then move onto straight from the tube for the bulk of the painting?

I used watered down acrylic for the toning of the canvas, then watered down wmo for the drawing stage, then paint straight from the tube for the rest. The cobra paints are soft enough to do this without thinking.

@@AndyWalkerArt Thanks for the reply, yes the cobra seem to be the best to just work with out of the tube for wmo from what I've seen. All the best, video was perfectly edited!
