they re mostly hated because of the fan base and lets be real...their fanbase is absolute ass. It sucks cause they re genuinely good musicians

Most of these people here probably don't know how good these two actually are... They have way more complex songs than this, this was just a good one to show off harmonies. Great video though thank you emgtv! I just dont get why people give these guys so much crap they are very talented musicians if only people would do there research on Jake and Jinxx
I am always amazed about people having an opinion about song complexities and still they have never touched a guitar.I play guitar and i assure you i sometimes struggle with their songs.They are very talented and you can see how they fill each other.

it's not Jake and jinxx that people hate, it's black veil brides as a whole. they're all talented musicians, and their music is great, but they're still a very hated band for whatever reason. their opinions on the band(the haters I mean) don't matter

And yes, a successful career playing music(which these guys have) makes a hell of alot of people jealous, that's why they feel the need to badmouth them.
So awesome when they're on stage and stand back to back and just absolutely nail every note in their crazy solos haha

This is my favorite thing because I can see who plays what parts which has always been really interesting with me. Jake and Jinxx are so equally talented and they really do complement each other perfectly. Mad respect to both of them.

to all the people complaining that they're "wasting their talent playing stupid emo songs" firstly I want to say that their songs are not emo. nowadays, emo sounds more like pop. I don't even listen to it. second, they can use their talent HOWEVER they want! who gives a bleep if they are in a band You love or don't love? this is the band They wanted to be in. this is the music They want to make. they aren't "wasting" their talent or time. Dude, seems an awesome song to play with a friend! Good parts, good double riffing... Interesting things for each one to play and stuff like that!
People some time can't notice this kind of good material for guitar (and other instruments too) just because they can't admit something good can be found in genres they dont like. I like a LOT of stuff, including all the "really heavy stuff" and bullshit and never came to underestimate guys like these because I know everyone can be good in their on style...
So I saw the video, searched for the band, confirmed the coments about being shitty with vocals and came back to talk about them.
They are solid guitarrists and sound GREAT together ( and that's never as easy as it seems). Both have a very good timing and keep up nice with the tempo. They actually play really ok! But the most important part is that at least one of these guys composed a nice sounding song with very consistent parts, bridges, duets and intro/midle part/chorus fell's like etc... check out at 0:48, thats a nice choice of chords for a progression!
This was amazing! The comments are sort of killing me though cause a lot of them are hating on BVB lol. Anyways, you guys are amazingly talented, and the bands music is amazing!

When it comes to playing, they actually aren't all that flashy like on stage. It's more of an act at that point, not that it's a bad thing. They are quiet and controlled dudes.

Ben only play breakdown shit and generec riffs. Jacky and Jake has the same level of talent (both are good) but Jinxx is a little better, he also can play violin and piano.

The guitars are what makes BVB. The vocals, pretty lackluster, lyrics are rather good though most of the time. Still, I would actually prefer an album of instrumentals like in this video.
Honestly, as an avid BVB fan, the lyrical content is so weak. I believe this band has a signature mark where it is because of the guitarists. If it weren't for Jake and Jinxx, this band would honestly be shit. I love Andy as much as the next crazed "fangirl", but I really don't care about what he sings about at all. If anything, a lot of it is irritating to me. I'm glad seeing your comment for which I agree and share perseptives.

I don't actually care about what the lyrics say either, just if they sound good in a song. Andy does think of a lot of words that go together well and sound rock & roll. Could just be random words as long as they sound good. The guitars definitely are the thing that stands out though. Without that guitar sound I probably wouldn't be that interested in the band. If they had a real singer I think they would be more popular. You know the metal vocals where there's lots of high notes with vibrato? That's the kind I prefer. Like Rob Halford in Screaming for Vengeance. Andy could never do a high scream like that..

Fucking amazing guitar work... which goes along amazingly with cc's fantastic drumming and Ashley's awesome bass playing... And of course andy's vocals bring it all together amazingly. So nobody gives a fuck wether you like the band or not... keep your opinion to yourself and just appreciate the music they have all worked so hard to be able to make and perform.

I've heard of these guys, never heard them. I like the guitar playing, I hear my beloved Maiden in the influences, good on these fella's!. EMG have been a rock of stability, throw em in any guitar and get better tone.
