Thank you from an Australian for playing this dyvinals, brilliant Aussie band .please do more of their songs ..Back to the wall and Jealous are both excellent vocals from the amazing Chrissy Amphlett.
First time I heard this band was in 1982 when watching MTV in the States. Then the band came to the States and played at the US fest. and they blew me away. Another great Aussie band playing at the '83 US Fest. concert was INXS. Men At Work also did a show that night, but they weren't as sexy as Chrissy and Michael (Hutchence). And The Clash? Oh my God, go back to England was all I could think RIP Chrissy and Michael
It's a very clever song, and it's difficult not to fall in love with Chrissy. She was born in my state of Victoria. My sister did a tribute to Chrissy Amphlett, and was in touch with the family.
I almost hope that nobody requests the Divinyls song that they are most famous for recording. I know he called Crissy "a darker version of Debby Harry" but I'm not sure he could appreciate that song. 😊

Divynils were HUGE in Australia, and Chrissie Amphlett is an absolute legend here, sadly missed. Try Pleasure and Pain, I’m Jealous, and Elsie (live version of that one is best to get a real sense of Chrissie’s stage presence).
First thing. Australian.. Not Australuan (ref to description) 😉 The late Crissy Amphlette was a dynamic figure in the Australian music scene. She came from the Aussie rock school of hard knocks that shaped people like Bon Scott. The environment was pretty demanding and if you didn't have your wits about you as a performer (or be on your A game), you could get seriously hurt by the crowd. She threw punches at men twice her size if a drunken brawl broke out and she could be nasty as hell. The band weren't so bad either.
The Aussie school of pub rock, she was the best.RIP Chrissy.🙏🙏🙏

Siren, Sleeping Beauty, Back to the Wall and Hey Little Boy are her best. Those songs sum her up beautifully.
yep a mix of punk, new wave and in an Aussie Rock way
Nice choice André and thanks to Harri also.
You're welcome ;)
Boys In Town is a banger! Gotta be next.

Exactly…I’ve always said she is Australia‘s brunette blondie…just rockier ❤
Blondie had the sweet and sexy pout, but Chrissy had the dangerous one.
My favourite is Elsie. 2 great live versions here on TH-cam.
Harri Plese do "Pleasure and Pain!" "All the boys in town!" Yeah! and do"I Touch myself!" too!
Her name is Christine (Chrissy) Amphlet. The niece of Patricia(Little Patty) Amphlet. A pop singer from the '60s.😊
I believe they were first cousins. Their fathers were brothers.
@GaryNoone-jz3mq @Barnowl is right. Chrissy and Patricia's fathers Jim and Joe Amphlett were brothers.
Rip Chrissy❤
You have opened the Pandora’s box of Divinyls and I hate to break it to you but it’s only addiction from here…there is no turning back!

"Only Lonely" "Boys In Town" "Ring Me Up" and "Elsie" from the same album would be my recommendations.
this is great great who is this so good
Band called Divinyls lead singer is Chrissy Amphlett. R.I.P she passed away from breast cancer in 2013 she was 53 at the time. 😢.
