Hi Omar and Melissa 😊 I recently started magnet fishing myself. It is really fun, especially with your first new findings. Your gonna love it. Plus, thanks too you- I also love dumpster diving! Omg, the stuff stores throw out!!!! lol Have a great day and good luck.😊
gold is a nature metal and as such has no magnatizem same with silver and other man maid metals will stick to the magnet. love your family Omar love your videos keep going.
Nickel, iron and cobalt are magnetic metals. Most other metals, including gold, copper, silver and magnesium, are generally not magnetic, So, most jewlery and coins are NOT magnetic. You have to use the metal detector for those.
What's Omar love all ur vodie's from haunted videos magnet fishing dumpster diving keep it up Amara when I bend down you I'd watch your videos just to bring myself up when I was depressed you got me through some rough times and dark times I just want to appreciate it and tell you thank you from the bottom of my heart and to keep up the good work
Magnet fishing is mostly for relics. Everything you'll find will have iron in it. Things such as guns, knives, mechanical parts and the like. Good luck in your adventures!
got up to 23 Degrees this afternoon, That's nice, i'me tired of the 12 & 13 Deg. weather we have been having. Like both you and your wife. Have a nice day Bob...
The magnet you're using is for dropping off a bridge, boat or dock and bobbing it up and down because the magnets are on the bottom. When you drag it like you're doing the magnet is on its side..no good. To drag you need a 2 sided magnet so no matter how you drag it the magnet comes in direct contact with objects on the bottom.
Would love to be in Florida about now! My furnace is working overtime here in Missouri! Omar, when you were in the water, your greatest "find" was right behind you: "Melissa!!" Love you both! :)
Thank you for the video brother. It's 2019 and just getting started on magnet fishing. Well haven't officially started, because I just ordered mine, but I hope you guys haven't found everything yet.
+ The Omar Gosh I watched again and laughed my a$$ off again. You need to put your magnet on a push broom with wheels. Thanks for the laughs and videos. Thanks for helping to clean up the environment. GOLD IS NON-FERROUS.
I do a lot of magnet fishing and it used mainly for ferrous metals. I pick up a lot hooks, fishing weights , etc , I have even discovered an entire car underneath a bridge. The best places to go are docks , piers , bridges. places where people would throw things in the water . I have heard of a story where a magnet fisher found a gun that had been thrown in a canal off a bridge . He found it and turned it into the police . come to find out the gun was used in a murder. It takes time to find the real treasure , but when you find any thing its fun. I also dabble in metal detecting. Beaches especially the ones that are crowded in the season are your best bet . go to places like Clearwater beach. Also try parks that have been there a very long time , under the bleachers at a football or baseball stadium . the really small old ones. Around old churches . I know a lot about the springs and where to metal detect the parts where tourist and visitors would sit and sun , while their kids played. there are always losing money and jewelry. that is also why the tourist beaches are good place to metal detect .
Adam L a Lot of pulling , I got the magnet back , thank goodness, it didn't help that I was on a steel bridge. It stuck to the bridge on the way up , almost lost it there too. Lol
At 9.56 she says "go further, keep going" she should have said "keep going , keep going , keep going keep going" And then she tells him to let it sink.... I like these people.... and I thought all innocents in the world did not exist anymore....awwwww
Great idea at a beach. try to get a fair sized water bottle a place it over the magnut, it will help if you get you loose when you hit sicken tree branches. there is a lot of cool stuff.
My old buddy in AR. would go magnet fishing at a small lake near a trailer park. He mostly found broken garden tools but the tool he found most and most often that wasn't broken was hedge clippers! He mulled it over for a moment; chances are the wife would buy it and husband would toss it in the lake!
Ok Omar class is in session......lol You have two types of metal , pherass metal that will stick to a magnet and non pherass which a magnet will not stick to it. Perass metal consist of things like ten , steel and castiron. Non pherass metals consist of things like gold , silver , aluminum and stainless steel. Class dismissed......lo I really love your videos man...... GIMME KISS
magnet fishing is fun, never have to buy hooks, sinkers or lures any more, have found enough to make it through the rest of the year. Found fishing tools also along with a few reels.
It's June 12019, just found this vid. Try a neodymium magnet. A double sided 800lb pull works well. Go around bridges, canals. you get a lot of old garbage metal., but some cool finds too. I found a Raleigh bicycle last weekend in the canal in Ottawa Canada. Always dispose of the garbage metal properly. That's why I got into the hobby.....cleaning up the waterways around town. I hope you are still doing this and having better luck. My TH-cam channel is 'The Magnetic Duo - Magnet Fishers' it's brand new and shows the bike find.
You maybe didn't have a lot of people watching because they were probably at work. I was leaving work and getting on the freeway when you streamed this. I'm in the Central time zone.
That's cool! It's all a learning experience. I'm still a novice myself since I have had my detector for about 6 years or so and I haven't used it much. All the areas that my ex-husband took me too were so rocky that is was very hard to impossible for me to dig in. Now I'm on my own when I go and since I'm a woman it can be a bit scary for me to go by myself. The areas that I've been going to recently, that are well populated, I'm not allowed to dig or detect there. I wished that I lived back in Florida. I miss the warm weather. I'm currently living with my mom and stepdad till I get back on my own two feet financially. I have to pay them back a lot of money first.
Docks, peirs, canals, bridges, are your best bet, also your using a rare earth magnet wich is ok it will work just fine but a neo magnet works better has better range for picking stuff up. DUCES ✌✌
Magnetic attractions come from electrons. All metals have electrons, but gold has the least. What looks like gold may be gold plating over other metals that are magnetic.
is that pineisland? I live in springhill! i always hope to run into you at the walmart on 50! i use to live off hexam! and i was in boyscouts with john at the local elks lodge
Gold is a non-ferrous metal (Contains no lead), therefore it's not magnetic. Other non-ferrous metals include copper, zinc, nickel, and many, many more. This is why the coins in your pocket aren't magnetic either, because they're made from nickel and zinc (not much copper any more).
Awesome vid. Oh and don't put high power magnet to close to phone cause it can erase memory just like high power magnet can erase computer. Also gold is not magnetic.
He's taking his pet magnet for a walk!
Hello from England. I was with a friend of mine out magnet fishing a river and he literally pulled out 2 crayfish, how weird's that!

Helene Johansson True.
Helene Johansson iron cobalt and nickel are what is in a different type of magnet and those are the materials to make it magnetic

To drag you need a 2 sided magnet so no matter how you drag it the magnet comes in direct contact with objects on the bottom.
You should use that magnet thing to try and find your dad's watch...on the off chance you read this lol.
Love the shirt!

+John Fusek Great info. Definitely need to go to Clearwater Beach as well as some piers
The Omar Gosh
It will not pick up metal without iron in it. Gold does not have iron.
John Fusek an entire car?? How did you get your magnet out lol
Adam L a Lot of pulling , I got the magnet back , thank goodness, it didn't help that I was on a steel bridge. It stuck to the bridge on the way up , almost lost it there too. Lol

Go to a Pier and work along the edges you'll find all sorts of stuff. Fishing poles, knives, hooks and crab nets.
Omar, Metal detecting and magnet fishing takes time to master.
Go where people go tubing. Also watch Aquachigger.
Omar you should try the pier by the power plant out on trouble creek. Tons of metal down there.
I have never seen anyone magnet fish before. that's pretty cool I hope you find something cool.

Hi Omar this is Giselle from Trinidad Ann tobago
You maybe didn't have a lot of people watching because they were probably at work. I was leaving work and getting on the freeway when you streamed this. I'm in the Central time zone.
There was a nail on the bottom
If you remember where the pier was at you can still magnet fish and find lots of hooks and other iron items.
+GOLDBULLIONTREASURES HistoryRetriever Didn't even think of that. Dang. Next time.

Omar and Melissa, magnets only pick up like iron metal
gold is a precious soft metal & when jewelers make rings & things like that they use very little metal in it.
