I've heard very odd things over the VHF at night when at sea - laughing, shouting, manic ranting etc. I always assume it's bored fishermen broadcasting on the wrong channel. Disconcerting though to hear screaming when you're on your own on the ocean. I'd have turned the VHF off for a bit, or else started screaming back at them.

I have been told off by the coast guard for broadcasting a blazing row over chanel 16. Totally unaware. They were very polite - "Would the couple having a discussion please replace the transmitter" Stopped us arguing... For a few minutes anyway.
That must have been awkward haha, I still wish I knew what this weird sound was !

Awesome video! I can't wait till the day I can start sailing. As for WTF that was on the radio, it would've scared the crap out of me too lol. I think/ really hope that it was someone playing a joke.
