    Ehh...czas niestety płynie nieubłaganie. Wystarczy wpisać w yt Roy Jones JR can't be touched, a wyświetli się na filmik z najlepszymi akcjami Roy-a. To był bokser. Był wielki. Okładał przeciwników jak kukły, a tutaj ?...wrak dawnego mistrza...w latach swojej świetności taki Glazewski leżałby w 10 sekundzie walki...

      Roy jones popełnił wielka - zła decyzję. Schodząc z wagi ciężkiej z now do pół ciężkiej. Wtedy? To już nie był on - i nigdy nie powrócił do takiej formy jak przed tą zmiana. Co nie wyklucza ze moim zdaniem jest to najlepszy (był) najlepszym bokserem na świecie

    When Jones was on top of the world as a undefeated fighter, I remember a interview he did before one of his fights, and he said "If he ever lost a professional fight, he would try to avenge his lost and if unsuccessful he would quit and walk away from boxing". Well, he's lost almost 10 times, and he's still trying to fight. Roy is one of my boxing hero's, and I would rather see him retire rather than fighting in his current state.

    Roy Jones is the best Light Middleweight, Middlewieght, Supermiddleweight fighter I have ever witnessed. Anyone who disrespects him has never seen him fight at his prime. He would also have been the best at Cruiserweight and Heavyweight at his prime in my opinion cuz he was untouchable and had the reflexes and speed of a Cat. Man I'm happy to have enjoyed Roy Jones in his prime.

    RJJ is one of my all-time favorite fighters ever. Though, it really saddens and bothers me see him drop against the likes of Lebedev, Green and Calzaghe. Guys that wouldn't even make it to his level in his prime or blatantly duck him. That's why I want him to retire, it's not nice to see a legend lose to those guys. It's as bad as Tyson losing to Danny Williams and Bruce McFries.

  • @loooooojason
    @loooooojason 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i think he's trying to have more fun till it lasts. he would know when to retire better than anyone else. in this fight, while everyone else might say he's degenerating or something, as i said, i see a shift in style and strategies - u'll probably notice that if u compare this to a few fights before. of course, he's not like his prime time, but hey, he's learning some different things and seems to enjoy what he does. let's respect his choice.

  • @pearcemark2
    @pearcemark2 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    haha, how was he not great? He's the only man alive that can say he went from middleweight champ, to super middle champ, to light heavy champ, to heavyweight champ, to light heavy champ again. In his best days his legs were too fast to let anyone near him, his hands were lightning fast, and he had 1 hit KO power in both hands. If he retired after the first Tarver fight, he goes down as the GOAT.
    As it is, he was the P4P #1 for about a decade. But that was over a decade ago. So now.....this.

  • @maximusmarine
    @maximusmarine 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only good reason a 43yr old should still be doing full contact sport is because so head & shoulders above the rest and undefeated that he's literally carrying the sport on his shoulder. Roy is only diminishing his greatness. And he is undeniably great. Roy will always be a better boxer than the average good fighter. It's not like anybody thinks he's "forgotten" or will ever forget how to fight. Makes you wonder if he needs money.

    well said!... its hard to tell yourself that your not the fighter you once were and that is what happined to roy... plus once he got cought by that lucky punch from tarver ( i mean LUCKY ) that was the end of him, as well as many other fighters. I am a boxer myself and for a fighter to be the best in the world and untouchable and then to be knocked out.. well that just ruins a mans confidence.. Just like mike tyson and many others.. its just sad that he didnt stop after the heavy weight belt.

    At 43 it would have to be a sweet combo of steriods to compensate for aged hand/eye, muscle twitch reflex, balance etc etc. They will make you stronger and able to endure the training that hones such reflexes & such but after a certain age, steriods only help you look and feel good while taking a beating. Any prime boxer will tell you certain things happen unconciously. You're completing the 3rd punch of a combo before your brain even processes the opening. That grows away. It's simply aging.

    Roy is fighting at 40% of what he used to fight at. His hand speed is still there but the difference is his legs. They are gone. This is why he is not explosive anymore. He does not have tork in his legs which makes punch with less power and speed. His last great fight was with Lacey. He looked like he pulled the clock back 10 years for that fight. I think it was 3 years ago. Roy is fighting strictly to pay bills now. Overseas, they are still willing to pay him
    7 figures. I ain't mad at'cha Roy.
