Thanks to you I started this week with my new habbit of painting on a daily basis. And until now I am really happy! It feels so good, to observate and draw! Luckily the results/paintings have not dissapoint me but are all ok - until now. I hope that I can keep up with this habbit. Your videos are so powerfull, thank you very much!
This is a good reminder for me. I've followed you for some time and I love how amazing your sketchbooks are and so many of them have been done with little items from around the house that you can just sit and sketch at a table/desk. An individual sketch might not seem like much, but it is the accretion of days, weeks, months, years' of work that creates such a wonderful body of work Becky! As covid keeps me pretty much at home and it looks like another fall/winter of that, I've been making a few "resolutions" of things I want to do to keep myself busy through the cold weather. Committing to more regular sketching is one of those things!

Thank you for sharing. 💕 I always find the very first sketch of a new book difficult. It sometimes takes months before I’m gain enough to mark a book. Always afraid of ruining a perfectly beautiful book. Do you have any pointers?
You are so welcome! 💗 For me, I like to sketch my current sketch materials on the first page of a new sketchbook: watercolor palette, brushes, pens etc. Just keep it simple and don't think too much. Enjoy your process and don't stress about the outcome. I can share more in a future video.
Well, I had years of academic art classes practicing with pencils (drawing, shading)... Then when I started my first art journal I was able to draw directly with ink because of the prior fundamental skills.
Great question! I will answer it in a new video soon. My quick answer right now is that life is short, and drawing and painting helps to hold on to the values of living.
