Such extreme and unwarranted caution for such a natural and beautiful remedy and yet we have perfectly legal whiskey sitting on shelves everywhere that destroys peoples lives in multiple ways, every single day.
Beautiful point. It’s almost as though the government wants you to poison yourself rather than enlighten yourself. In my opinion the benefits HIGHLY outweigh the risks with mushrooms
I can't find a source anywhere for any good psychedelics in my area, I suffer some pretty bad depression and i got a chance to try K and man it was a miracle substance, I felt free, the only high or euphoria was from the relief of my vices being released, that's exactly what it did
@@greatestofalltime4125 Tripping on mushrooms is also very dangerous to the novice. Under the effects opens ones spirit to invasion by more powerful spirits.
There’s a lot of potential in psychedelics, I can’t wait to try any of them mushrooms specifically but it’s just so hard to find a reliable source over here, I’ll be glad if anyone can be of help

I’ve used magic mushrooms a few times and it helps achieve higher levels of conciusness. I am able to go deeper into my meditations. It allows me to separate my ego and be able to see my life from a different perspective…. I can keep going on all the beautiful things that I’ve experiencing. The only suggestion that I have for people who never tried it is to have an intention. Make sure you have a goal. I have been able to deconstruct myself thanks to this medicinal plant. But having questions and a topic allows me to get some clear answers.
My intention and goal is pretty simple...to be in a good mood lol...like sustained genuine good mood. I get these low moods on a weekly basis with a few days being good days and during my good days I try to make sense of why was I even feeling bad and cant really put my finger on it. But then the next day or a few days later the bad comes back and the best way I can describe it is like a flipped switch....and it's not sadness but more like....blah. I plan on taking a macro to hopefully address this. Sorry for the over explaining lol
Well stated. I believe that it should be held in some degree of reverence, far removed from a "party drug". Make it an event, rather than a frivolity. Go in with the intention of bringing back something beneficial to the rest of your life. Higher dose,in a quiet, dark, natural setting, moderate dose for music or the Art Museum.
just took my first micro dose yesterday and its a surreal feeling and it should be illegal that its illegal. I feel completely normal but yet euphoriated with no crash which is even crazier.. again it should be illegal that is illegal!
It scares me that people who never tried psilocybin or any psychedelic substance think they can be experts in administering it. I‘ve heard of patients in ketamin-therapy who's beds have been parked in a busy hospital corridor while they were under the influence. Maybe not the drug but the setting was responsible for healing the depression? It‘s like saying: Maybe it wasn‘t the bomb but the pure impact of the heavy weight that caused the destruction in Hiroshima.
You’re right. Anyone skeptical need to try them once before they dismiss them as a drug. Anything can be abused, even water, but no one is addicted to them.
Doesn't take an expert to administer it really -- everyone who doesn't have schizophrenia will benefit from them, even if unprepared for a ridiculously strong trip. The lessons learned leave people better off.
I've suffered from severe dep my entire life past few months it spiralled out of control... I used to work for Merck in structuring and marketing clinical trials. I recruited doctors and scientists to conduct trials and watched many compounds go from trial to publicly sold medicine. This scientist is coming at this discussion from the traditional view--which he fails to mention has created many, many FDA approved drugs that not only did not produce the promised therapeutic effect, but also did enormous harm. He acts as if there needs to be rigorous study to prove what has long been obvious about psychedelics---they don't harm people. I helped shepherd Fosamax to the market. It promised to reduce bone fractures in women by "remodeling" and strengthening bone. It went through many years of trials and was deemed safe. It not only DID NOT prevent fractures, but it could cause a terrible and irreversible condition called necrosis of the jaw. Cardiologists are taking people off statins--the most popular class of drugs in that space--by the MILLIONS because they now understand that reducing cholesterol is not the panacea they thought it was and in many people the drugs do more harm than good. So all that to say this: the clinical trial process does not guarantee safe and effective therapies in the way this scientist would like to portray. Their caution around psilocybin is feigned as they try to find a way to package it as an FDA approved therapy they can monetize. Grow your own:)
Blathering on with scientific studies and over analyzing is part of the problem not the pathway to the efficacy of these psychedelics. Timothy Leary was a pioneer then a pariah and now where still looking into this after 55+ years. Why do we have to control everything through academic and government institutions? People take these substances without intellictualizing what nature offers and has been in use without authoritarian approval. Pharmaceutical oligarchs and profiteers benefit, as well as tax collectors ultimately. Yes and.universities as well.

its extremely painful listening to Mr. Sanacore. is he supposed to be a scientist?? if yes then dont lament about unanswered questions but get research on the way to get these questions answered!! hes producing guesswork about possible dangers of psilocybin but doesnt have any proper knowledge about it. contrary he talkes about prozac as if it would be free of any sideffects. truth is this substance is well known to dramatically increase suicidality and other so called paradoxical effects in patients. Imho Mr. Sanacore is not interested in helping people nor progressing research - most likely hes bribed by ellililly and alike to further their revenue. in short hes a pain in the but and a dangerous one!
Trade depression for a lifetime of anxiety, do not do mushrooms if you have any tendencies twords anxiety it can ruin your life. I found out the hard way.
@Johnny Longshlong all i know is i took a moderate dose and ended up in the ER with a severe panic attack and it completely destroyed any semblance of identity i had. I went in wanting a conection to others and ended up more empty and hopeless than before i took them. So it has to to do with how you see the world. Im am a pessimist and i to me the human race is a collasal mistake a plague. Mushrooms did not change that view. They just left without connection to anything and completely dwelling on my past mistakes feeling like a really bad person. I had never had a panic attack in my life until i took mushrooms. I have no doubt they worked for you, they are obviously working for some people but they made my life worse. People should be aware they dont work for everyone and if you already feel alone in the world they will likely make that feeling even more pronounced.

Over and over I hear mushrooms referred to as a drug.
What classifies something as a drug?
Its undeniable now.
The mushrooms in the image are most likely of the Galerina genus which can be poisonous.
