This is the best fuzz pedal I’ve ever played! And I’m someone who used to not “get” fuzz. Between the two fuzz styles and octave switch, as well as the intuitive Tone and Contour controls, you are bound to dial in something you like. The build quality, look, feel, and size of these Fender pedals is also amazing. Love the LED knobs and the option to switch them off. Just a note that early demo units of The Trapper, as shown here, have Fuzz 2 and Fuzz 1 mislabeled. It’s that way on the manual as well. Fuzz 1 is the “regular” fuzz setting and will be on the right, with Level 1. The second Fuzz setting, the crazy gated one, is engaged with the second footswitch and turns on an LED. This setting only has a Level 2 knob, which should be the one in the center. The Octave switch works with both settings.
I know, right? I got the Pugilist, and the then they brought out "Compugilist" ... That being said...the Pelt looks (sounds) actually really good. I've been genuinely surprised by it. I was this close 👌from getting it, too, but I got a Way Huge instead (I've got a Way Huge theme going, and it looks really rad all next to each other on the board 😁). But...you should be pretty stoked on having got the Pelt I would say. Also...you can easily have more than one fuzz! I've got two Way Huge fuzzes on my board - and couldn't give up either! I've got Swollen Pickle (basically a Muff) and the Conquistador, a gated, spitty hellraizer...prob my fave pedal, certainly my favorite X-factor card. But point is, they are both very different and both very necessary. They each have a strong claim to their pedal board real estate.
Yes... thissssssss... oh well. Though, Pelt just got a big mention from Chris Buck, so, it's doing fine. Pelt's a great pedal, too. BUT, they should both be some kind of purple as purple is the color of FFFUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Josh just reminded me of a good trick on guitfiddle! If you miss your note but your callouses and fingers are in good shape, you can wrastle that som'bich back into key! LOL! All kidding aside, this pedal sounds great and Josh has such good musical taste, all together a rocking demo! THX!
@Mattylar there is a quick demo of various settings on the Fender Full Moon Distortion and one of the lower gain settings they use is labelled "British chime". It's way more versatile than I thought!
Hey, @Fender, I just got my Trapper and I absolutely love it! I was wondering where you guys recommend putting it in my chain. Does it behave with buffered pedals?
@@dspindola94 yeah, it can pretty much go anywhere. I haven't noticed it being affected negatively by buffered pedals. I do keep it pretty close to the front of my chain, though, right after an EQD Plumes as a booster.
this demo is ok, but i wish they had someone that knew how to use fuzz. the guitarist digs in on every note, his pick attack is pretty aggressive you really hear it over the amp . less is more, especially when your gained up.
I think they're a little smaller I person. In videos they look a little awkwardly tall or something. It's that empty space between the switches and the bottom row of knobs.
Should have been played into a “broken” up amp to help the Fuzz tone IMO. Quality player that should have been a Fender artist…oh, well? I’m into Fuzz, and I can tell this one doesn’t have “IT”. Surprising that Fender didn’t maximize the Tone in this demo?
The Trapper gated fuzz is a useless pile of cr@p. I have this pedal and the only way you can get anything useful out of it is compressor -> boost -> The Trapper. It’s the worst Fuzz imaginable.
lol I'm like good gawd if I would have seen this video before I bought this thing on sale for almost 1/2 price I wouldn't have to be sending it back. I also wouldn't have had to spend an hour trying to find a setting that sounded anything like something I could use. ANYTHING!!!
@@MaTTheWish I have a FLAT IRON Fuzz by Electro Harmonix that I find perfect for many of the presets on my BOSS MS 3 and at around $85 its a steal. Good Luck MATT

Fender pedals are just plain great. Very well made and very usable.
Keep it up, guys.
Dammit, Fender! I just bought a Pelt last week and now I want this one!

Fender should do TH-cam giveaways of stuff like this!
They have to make a living 🙄
@@ethanmichael7940 I’m sure they’ll be ok. 😂
Best sounding pedal so far
Amazing sounds in the hands of a talented guitar player!
I love this pedal. It has two kinds of fuzzes, both of them really good. That’s all i could ask for.
Josh Smith is the man!
shoots too many 3s
Having Josh do your demos is not really fair to be honest. Dude could play a tin can with a stick and sound epic.
yeah, they need someone who can't play and dial-in a decent tone to really demonstrate what that pedal can do.
I'm purchasing this for my bass.
Name a more iconic duo than Josh and Stan. I'll wait.
Drake and Josh
Mick and Keith..
Fender has some excellent fuzz pedals. I really like the pelt. Only complaint is the LEDs are super bright.

Why this video is unlisted? So much a great pedal! @Fender
Sounds good. Wish the octave was on the footswitch and the type was on the toggle.
Agreed!
Dang! Youse went all in to get Josh Smith in to hock it for youse..!
Was gonna buy the pugilist... ended up here 😂🤘 I just can't stay away from the doom sludge sustain of the E power chord ringing out...
I love you Fender!
I WOULD PAINT IT PSYCHEDELIC !
Honestly love the pedals. Wish you could make some sort of British overdrive.
Full moon distortion produces some British sounding rock vibes

Dope Fuzz pedal !
Spectacular!
But does it Doom?`

I concur.
is the octave feature foot switchable?
No
Hand switchable.
That’s a real beato burner at 0:43
03:48 sounds like a ring modulator at times
Nice one.
Sounds like a FENDER BLENDER
Quite literally my guy
But miss with that shite 4 knob germanium reissue
My thoughts exactly
Fenderよ…マルチエフェクター作ってくれー👍
Great pedals, if only they were a little smaller
I think they're a little smaller I person. In videos they look a little awkwardly tall or something. It's that empty space between the switches and the bottom row of knobs.
Guess it sounds like it should but to me it’s like a ripped off speaker! Prefer the ODs & distortions to this.
A fuzz is different than OD or distortion
heres one surf reverb ?
Is what really okay huh?
What... horns do you guys listen to? 🤔🤨🤔 lol
It goes BWAAA so it’s a horn
Seriously. Devil horns
Always fun goofing around with a fuzz, but when it's time to play real music..
... a lot of people use fuzz. Fuzz face is often mistaken by an overdrive actually.

maybe next time you can turn the fucking octave off for a minute WTF you stopped me from buying it simply by leaving it on the entire time.

It will be cool if Fender will sell Yngwie Malmsteen neck separately... Or at least a scalloped neck :)
