After the rather underwhelming V Collection 9 & X the new Advance features does have me excited for 11 next year. I just hope it finds its way into all the synths in one go rather than incremental updates over numerous V Collections.
An Elka Synthex is capable of so many different sounds. The "Laser Harp" sound is one of them. Probably very interesting for those who make a JMJ cover band ;)
Psrsonal opinion. The original Elka Synthex was more interesting and innovative than Oberheim or Prophet. It arrived late and so defeated by digital kings like DX7. Nowadays we are lucky, we have good simulations. This one and Cherry Audio. I will get this one too because I am a Synthex fan...
Compare a synthex dry without it's chorus next to a Prophet 5 , no comparison since synthex dco's can never equal a quality vco design for sheer movement of sound.
Finaly the return of a legendary synth, making synth pad with this is massive, i hope they do an RSF Polykobol one day ...
Try Xils Lab Polykobal.. if you go through Thomann I believe it's on offer at the moment.
Does this come with the original Elka Synthex presets too?
Yes, I think it does.

is it a good one?
The question is: how well it can do JMJ's "Laser Harp" sound. None of the VST emulations so far have been able to deliver it properly.

My favourite emulation is definitely the XILS Lab version of the synthex. Syn’X and it’s little brother minisynx sound fantastic 👍

@@cnfuzz It's obvious. VCO has natural drift.
