I agree, it's underpowered, but the electric motor makes it instantly respond especially in city driving. It's hella reliable at 153k km, and I paid cash for this car I know most people don't. I didn't have any issues with the engine or the battery, and If I totaled this car I would get this again. I know everyone compares this with the prius and insight, but no one compares the Honda NSX or Porsche 918 with a prius, and I feel this car is more a sporty car than a fuel sipping hybrid especially in sport mode. That's just my two cents.

I just bought one. I feel it sporty enough for the city, I mean with the electric motor instant kick I rev up the motor to 4-5k and in the second gear I m at 80km/h, in less than 8 sec... It goes up to 150 like this, I mean quite fast, and that`s it, it`s no highway car but you can have some fun in the city and hillside. I do around 6 liter mixed, which is good for me given the nice int style and sharp/fun driving feel. Mine has really nice audio with aftermarket stereo.
Most of the people expect this car to drive like 200 HP turbo ride, with the consumption of an 1.2 l daily.
Well it isn`t. This car revs up to 6k and won`t sweat, so you get the adrenaline boost in the city believe me, but it`s not a highway car neither a civic. That guy in the video shifted from 1 to 2 instantly, bro you drive truck or what?
Give it a try guys you might even like it.

I am sure he didn't hit the SPORT MODE. Makes a difference.

No complaints about mine. I have the automatic cvt and get 45+ mpg on average. Its not a Golf GTI but then again its not meant to be.

I was looking at the Honda website yesterday and i'm sooo excited that their going to refresh the CRV! From the images I've seen I think it's looks great, not sure if I like it more than the 2016 Touring but at least they got rid of the dual screen dash. Hopefully that is implemented over the entire line.
Yes. They also put a volume knob. I review 2016 in a week , then in spring, Ross will get the 2017.
I watched a few reviews on TH-cam yesterday and I will say that I like it a lot more than the 2016. I think this generation is packed with all the things I would want in a car and Honda did not disappoint. I feel this will be the best seller in its class. The only complaint I have is with the 1.5T engine, I think at least a 2.0T would have been better since it would be less stress on a small engine. The Volvo XC90 has a 2.0T and that's way bigger. But I see why keeping the Civic engine and tuning it differently is more cost effective.

Seems like your major issues are price related. I've been seeing 14/15s for 12-15k USD. You think the car is worth at that price? Any other suggestions for that price range with FWD/AWD and 30+MPG? Been looking at the Civic Si, GTI, Mazda3, and the Fit.
tough call. 12k is roughly half price in USA. All your choices are good except for the Fit which feels super low level on the road (which btw, I reviewed)

The listed consumption of 4.9L/100km is the pivot point for me. Because of that I'm not eager to get one.
Not sure what you were referring to on the financing rate on this car 4.9%?? Not even close at that time they were no different for a new Honda to finance.
They have one by me that’s a brand new 2016 ex with 7 grand off. So the total is 16,000 before financing. It almost seems worth it now.

The price is high because it is made in japan. If these cars were built in mexico, it would be under 20k
