    what type of hard dog roll bar is it? and where can i buy it? i know i can buy it online, but i want the one you used on the video, so the rear speakers can fit on perfectly.

    Fantastic system! I hope to get it someday soon. Suggestion- if you can, get pictures of all the different color/fabric options so people can see exactly what they'd be getting.

      Will do! We have photos of most of the colors on the website, but we will get the remaining options photographed soon. leroyengineering.com/products/90-05-miata-sub-and-speaker-kit-pre-order?variant=40279799398505

    I recently bought your kit without the speakers and found out the holes wernt premade, what's the best way to go about lining it up and cutting them

      Our process it to first glue the fabric to the panel, and then cut out the speaker holes with a knife. If you shoot us an email, we can send you a pdf with installation instructions.

    Is 8” subwoofer the biggest size you can go with? I have spare 10s sitting around so I’d like to know if there’s a chance for them to fit?

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      With the current design, 8" is the max. We have on our idea list to design a 10" system, but haven't had time to get it developed yet.

    Hi! I know that you already made a demo video for this, however, can you please make a new video regarding this system with some bass-heavy music? I want to see how good it sounds with it. Thanks!

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We can do that- but how good it sounds in the video has more to do with mic placement, recording quality and how good your speakers are then the volume or quality of the system. kind of like holding up a cell phone at a concert instead of the live recording the studio makes for it.

      @@leroyengineering I agree, but I think that it’s a good way to show others what to expect when buying it.

    Would I have to run this setup with Kicker's or am I able to upgrade the subs, wiring and amp?

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      We sell the kit as a plug and play system, or in individual pieces for those that want to rub their own set-up.

    Awesome system, how loud is it when the top is down cruising around?

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's got enough power that you can comfortably hear your music with the top down on the freeway without loosing any frequencies. It's not going to win any subwoofer contests, but I am never lacking for volume or clarity.

    Is it compatible with the hard dog harness bar?

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes- however the lower tabs on the harness bar may need to be removed or modified.

    I've been eyeing these since i first saw this set up y'all have but i was curious if it takes a little bit of leg room away? R u albe to slide the seat back all the way still? Im about at the borderline of to tall to fit into my NB 6'2. So leg space length wise is at a premium

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      technically the seat can still go as far back as before. however if it is all the way back, and tilted all the way back it will cover the sub, which muffles the sound a bit. On my car I did a foam-ectomy of the seat, which give me more support and legroom. I've also run race seats with the sub box before, which gives a lot more room since they are so much thinner.

    Does it work with a hardtop?

  • @RyanUlrichDCLXVI
    @RyanUlrichDCLXVI 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the speaker and sub Panel installed in my NB2. Subs rattle the parcel shelf to an annoying degree, a lot less so when the top is down, just wondering how you have dealt with this.

      Yea that shouldn't be happening. Give us a call when you have time and we'll walk through what you have in your set-up and get that resolved for you!

    Is this compatible with the flying Miata roll cage?

    • @leroyengineering
      @leroyengineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not familiar with a full cage made by Flyin Miata... Do you have a part number or link to that product?
