I am Igbo but I don't look down on calabars. I have friends that are calabar. Are Igbos beautiful? Yes they are. Should they put it to others' face? NO, they shouldn't. But just as they are beautiful, so are calabars, yorubas, ijaws, urhobos, efiks, and every other ethnic group in Nigeria. Nigerians in general are a beautiful people with a nice culture

well,i'm not going to get myself into a pissing contest with you.you're right,we do have some men that, well, wouldn't really compete with guys like RMD or so.but so do the igbos, yorubas, hausas, and any other tribe in nigeria.and i'm sure that there are very many efik men that you can't compete with in every aspect.i'm an annang guy and i consider the efiks as my brothers and sisters,so pls i'll really appreaciate it if you don't insult my people.

the reason akwa ibomites cannot be scammers is because they know how to get their money the honest way. and since all the other naija tribes don't know what honesty means, then of course they're not going to be involved with them.

The same report also interviewed the former wife of a Congolese man, Nzuzi Mayingi, 26, found hanged in Crystal Palace Park, having committed suicide 18 months after he arrived in Britain as an asylum seeker .When she was pregnant with the couple’s second son, Dr Tukala had accused her, their son, and their unborn son of all being possessed, known as “kendoki”. Her husband, who had deeply-held beliefs in witchcraft, beat her then threw her out of their home, she said.
    Sound familiar?

@vixxy02 Please tell me these stories are not true stories. Which place are these happening. Why would any man even think of touch baby. That child is physically damaged for life.

4.“I saw a soothsayer who told me I would get a lot of money by taking the virginity of my child and bringing him the blood, which he would then use for magic,”
Gisèle Ngungwa, a Lubumbashi lawyer, said the explanation given by Ndambwe is common in cases where babies are raped.
“I have attended a dozen or so trials like this, and perpetrators always say they abused children on the advice of witch doctors, who said the blood of babies would bring wealth,”she said.

    3. “I took her to a nearby doctor. To my shock,he found the baby had been raped.I reported this to the police. My husband was arrested and is now serving his sentence in Kasapa prison.”After his arrested, the father, Augustin Ndambwe, spoke to the press and confessed to the crime.

Mulamba says, recently,a father was convicted of raping his eight-month old daughter, one of the ten cases being dealt with by the police.
He fled after the crime, but was arrested two weeks later. He was sentenced to the maximum jail term of 2 years.
Superstitions are a chief reason perpetrators believing that sex with infants can bring about wealth and happiness.
Chantal Manda, the mother of a ten-month-old child who was raped by her husband in April 2009.
Manda recounted the story to IWPR.

Lubumbashi: Six children under the age of two have reportedly been raped or sexually molested in the Lubumbashi area (Southern DR Congo), as part of apparent rituals in which the perpetrators believe they will acquire good fortune as result of the abuse. As the Institute of War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) reports, superstitious beliefs are said to be behind disturbing cases of sexual violence against young children.

2.My husband used to dig in a quarry. One evening,he said he knew how to get rich like our friends. He said I should let him sleep with our daughter. After intercourse, he would take the blood to the soothsayer and we would get rich.”Manda says she refused, but claims he raped their daughter when she left the house the next morning to go to the market.
“When I came back,I found my child crying and him carrying her.I checked her diapers and saw she was bleeding.

    Educate yourself about Nigeria
    1. It is CALABAR,not Calarba
    2. Akwa-Ibom is not in CALABAR
3.There is no such thing as a CALABAR person; you are either Efik, Efut or Qua
    4. IGBOS are no way better than any other tribe in NIGERIA,if you were, you would have won the Civil war, and had your OWN country i.e. BIAFRA, which evidently you DON'T!
    5. There have been NO killing of children in CALABAR, it was happening in a remote village in EKET in AKWA-IBOM STATE, not CALABAR,CROSS RIVER STATE!
