I was in a foster home with the teenage girls no one wanted basically. I ended up there bcs I was an "at risk teen" and no one wanted that risk. You need to make a short video for moms ‘not putting your kids online’ I wasn’t convinced until you did the video about Everleigh L analytics. I’m way more careful about posting now but when I tell my friends they think I’m overreacting. Just using the word exploiting isn’t enough for most. They need facts. Love your videos! Make me laugh every day!
Cried my eyes out over the 60 minutes clip. Cried again when you played Alex. I don’t think he’ll ever say take a video down because she dangles money, gifts in front of them. The message she sent Bio Mom was disgusting !! And it tells you everything you need to know about her sincerity.
@@DogLover_365 When I was watching it. All I could think of was, none of these kids have a voice or say in their own lives. It’s gut wrenching. The 60 minutes. It was like a cattle auction. She was very quick to say that N and D would need to be placed in another home if she can’t film them. How many of her adopted kids overheard that conversation?? Ughh
From just that small interview with Alicia it seemed like she almost adopted all of these kids to have a reality show or some thing! And when no net work wanted to work with her, or didn’t think that it was interesting, enough, etc. she started doing TH-cam/tick-tock, etc.… Because it’s interview sounds like she is auditioning for a reality show
This should be interesting! That clip of the parade of children was jaw dropping. I had no idea that was going on. I often wonder what ever happened to B & P's other brother, who was intitially brought in by Alicia and Josh, but was sent back
I was an older child in foster care and myself and a few other "chosen" ones that fit the "best profile" were used to get new foster parents. We were even put on display at a huge home event at an event center selling not only the agency but playground equipment.
I used to work with an absolute monster of a woman who played the foster care shuffle for all of the extra $$. She would manipulate the rooms in her house - add bunk beds, put dividers up, etc… just so she could squeeze as many as possible in. She always made sure to have two older teen females in the mix to provide all of the parenting-type care that the younger ones needed. It was absolutely sickening! There were two young sisters she brought in and she kept them having surgeries for months, several teeth extractions, ear tubes, tonsillectomies… and I could swear that aspect was to garner sympathy for herself, like she was a super mom - it was sickening. Something finally went down, I’m not exactly sure what, but she was no longer allowed to foster in our state, so she moved across the country. I’m not sure if she still fosters… this was a decade or so ago.
The “child parade” broke my heart 💔 How devastating for the ones that had to do the walk and weren’t picked. Or were picked then returned. This is just horrific. But thank you Josh for covering it.
I’ve said before when one parent has to have their heart change for adoption it’s not the situation for that family. It’s a red flag and Lush has admitted that Josh’s heart needed to change for adoption and felt like the kids they had at the time which was a whole lot less than they do now didn’t have the attention they deserve. And this is what Lush has admitted.
I was one of 7 children. Daddy worked. My mother was an alcoholic. Us children were pawns between Mother and Daddy. The older children left home. Mother went chasing boyfriends. Daddy had developed a heart condition so I was left raising my little sister. Children raising children. My older sisters got into drugs and started popping out babies so I became responsible for the nieces and nephews. I was 15 years old with multiple little babies under my care. So I see Alicia as exactly like My Mommy Dearest.
Omg that’s like a child auction 🥴🤦🏻♀️ that’s disgusting But the fact people take in kids then decide “they’re aren’t a good fit” 😳 my own bio kids and I bump heads all the time that’s like me giving them up for adoption because of it 🤒
Reminds me of the orphan train here in the United States. Heartbreaking book but very eye opening on how in some ways society hasn't changed much from 100 years ago with how children are 2nd class citizens
I just can’t believe I used to watch family vlogs and love it. I was so blind to everything really going on, it’s scary. My mom, many years ago, even asked why I’m so into other people’s lives. I told her she just didn’t understand what’s popular now 😬
My heart would love to bring in all the children who need love, but I Know I don't have the resources that would give these kids the life they deserve.
My heart broke into a million pieces when you played that clip about the kids and Frank.. I hope Frank and all those precious kids are out there with a loving family.
I wanted to cry but I’m so appalled at the behavior of adults who parade children around who are vulnerable and desperate for love and a family. That’s so heartbreaking. God that’s so terrible 😢. I hope those kids in that special all find love and happiness beyond what they can even fathom one day. Those adults who put that together and the ones who attended should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
Why would the attending adults be ashamed? They likely needed or were asked to attend the event put on by the agency or organization they're using to see if "their" child is there, so they are nervous/excited/anxious. The agency/organization putting on the even in this fashion is the one that should be questioned. Maybe the kids are cool with it, but if not, then that's a problem. But I agree with you, it made me feel ill.
Omg I’m cracking up at the turkey joke 😂. Josh I hope you get to read this comment as I’m curious about something. I’m a nurse like your wife. When I’ve had a hard shift as in busy or someone passing away I come home and watch funny TH-cam videos. If your wife comes home after a hard shift or she’s tired upset etc, do you make her laugh? The stuff you come out with is hilarious and don’t even get me started on your fake thumb 😂😂😂
JOSH: There is a new family vlogger family called The Happy Caravan. They have contract with the same person as Dougherty Dozen and the mum says in one video that they started doing TH-cam to make some money. Finally a parent who doesn't pretend just to be "recording memories", but she is exploiting her 10 children. And worst thing of all; showing exactly where she lives - the front of the home, the name of the metro station, etc. They even film the whole trip from their home to the church they frequent, so if a psychopath wants to find them, it's very easy. 😱 It seems like those parents want the best for their children and don't even realize what they are doing... Nothing like Alusha. 🙊 So maybe they would listen some tips how to make money in TH-cam without exploiting your children...
This! As soon as I saw they were with Lush…I got livid! Forcing her kids to play instruments to get into college too. None of her kids really look happy with playing in my opinion. What they feed them, so different!
My husband's late grandma used to hate that we would not post our children online and that we would request everyone else not as well. If we saw pictures of them online we'd demand it removed and stop sending photos. She would use other relatives and tell us they do it and they have degrees... 😅 as if that matters and as if we don't have degrees. I would have loved to have sent the last video he made to her. I used to try to explain how vulnerable children are online and she would get so upset. And I get it, a Grandma wants to show off her adorable Littles, but the times have changed. I still resent the family members who said to her "oh they are being ridiculous and how rude." As if we were doing it to be mean or callous. Nope just doing our jobs!
My hubby loves his Ekster wallet, thank you for the idea! Sammy has awesome purrs! As far as kids having respect... It's hard on the parent sometimes. When the girls were little little, they were fighting in the grocery store. I told them if they didn't stop, we were going home and they were going to their room. They didn't stop. I left a half full cart with a cashier, apologized, and kept to my word. Guess who were angels the next grocery store trip? (I was super embarrassed leaving like that)

What I don’t get that if a child has to be 13 plus to have TH-cam channel or on Facebook or instagram or TikTok why is it okay for family vloggers to show kids online ???
I assume because of parental "supervision" or it being because the parent is the one technically with the channel...perhaps? Idk I wonder the same thing and that's the only thing my brain came up with.

Interesting that her TikTok got banned but now it’s surprisingly running again. Redheaded demon won’t stop, except for a White Claw. This just broke my heart. Im a foster/adoptive parent and I have rarely even posted photos of any of my children on anything online. I had a few pics on my facebook that were very very locked down and only close family could see them and they agreed not to repost them. My oldest turned 10 and asked that I take his pics off facebook so I took them all off. I just cannot imagine doing whet she does to my children. They have been thru so damn much already and forcing this is so wrong and dangerous in so many ways. Does she realize how easy someone could find one of her children? People are sick and she is just begging for a predator to help themselves. Just imagine the videos that would make! SMDH
Alicia always overshares her childrens business because SHE likes the attention that SHE gets from it. And I think there’s a lot to be said about a “mother” taking her own childrens misfortune and trauma, and finding a way to turn it into a situation where she herself gets attention and pity. So so sick. There’s not an empathetic or maternal bone in that woman’s body.
Let's also add that despite his FASD or other medical diagnoses, it is COMMON and expected for foster kids to be emotionally behind from their peers. Typically half their physical age. That changes and they catch up with support, stability, love etc. We literally had to take a class on it with our agency to become certified to foster our kids.
Yes! I wonder if they all actually have FASD or not because I’ve had extensive training in it as a sped para and foster parent and I just don’t see any of the facial features. My son was also evaluated and and has a lot of the facial features for it. But because his weight was 8% instead of 5th%, and they features weren’t significant enough, he got an autism diagnosis. There’s a lot of reasons foster children are delayed or have intellectual delays. A lot of times it’s simply from neglect. The first 3 years of your life play an enormous role in your entire life!
I have lived in suburbs of Chicago my entire life and let me say its a saddddddddd time when I am scared to even travel to our gorgeous city anymore...I cannot and do not believe how horrible things have become and quite frankly I am now embarrassed to even mention I am from here....smh...soooo sad and scary 😨
So I have looked into the requirements in my state for fostering and they allow 4 CHILDREN PER ROOM! Thats insane and the Doughertys definitely over crowd their house
Josh, I watched a documentary years ago about unsuccessful adoptions and why they go so wrong, particularly regarding overseas adoption and older kids. The crux of the problem and what they found caused so many behavioral issues and attachment disorders was that these kids coming into these homes were completely insulted by the families who just inundated them with worldly gifts, bc they didn’t value that AT ALL, and ALL they wanted was love, boundaries, parents, a home and consistency.
Families that have some obsession with breeding their own kids or adopting multiples, the novelty seems to wear out once the kids reach a certain age; and then they move onto the next child and so on.
FASD is not something a child grows out of. It’s brain damage that comes from birth moms drinking alcohol and often doing drugs too. It comes with all kinds of impairments one of them is a low IQ. So when Alex was mentally impaired as a 10 year old he is going to be like that his whole life. It’s called one of the invisible disabilities bc looking at the kids affected it’s not obvious that they have a disability but often only shows in behaviours and mental immaturity. Which way a child is affected depends which part of the brain was developing when the birth mom drank alcohol. It is a very wide spectrum. I know that bc I have an adopted Child with FASD and a list of diagnosis that come with it
I feel the same about Love Meg! I used to watch her years ago how she started! Later, I just couldn’t watch her anymore once they lived in Georgia after a while
When my sister fostered to adopt the entire 2yrs of fostering no info about the child was shared/known. The day the adoption was final we were shared a picture, name and age of our newest family member.
Just recently found this channel. We adopted from our state. We were coached to not say bad things about birth parents but to validate if the child does. We were also told to not tell things about them to anyone because it's not our story to tell. It's the child's story and if they want it known they'll tell it. I feel sorry for these kids.
You think that’s crazy… my friend was adopted, in Ontario mind you in the 00s, basically from an auction. There was a building with a whole bunch of kids standing beside their little presentation stand, with people going from kid to kid to see who they want. My friend only had ONE offer. This was Childrens Aid Society 🙃
I think another reason why big family and adoptive families get a good following is because those of us who do foster and adopt , it can be a lonely life and it's nice to have people to relate to. Now that I've seen everything from your perspective I won't support any of these channels but this is to say of you have friends who foster and adopt , reach out and make a community for them ❤
In my country as a teacher and a foster Mum I want to tell you what happens when you apply to have a permanent placement which mostly ends in adoption. The social worker will take the child out for afternoon tea and the potential foster / adoption couple will do what they call a walk by to see if they want the child based on what they look like. When I found out about that happening to one of the girls at school I decided that was never going to be something I would do. I needed to know their history, medical issues both physical and mental to make sure I would be able to take care of their every need not what a child looks like. I actually ended up having the girls younger brother with me for two years. I found in the staffroom what children and their parents look like amongst other nasty things was a regular topic of conversation and I ended up working through my breaks because I see every child as beautiful with amazing potential and adults should know better. After I took on this boy his classroom teacher (I had studied with) constantly complained about his behaviour in front of all staff members while looking at me. She knows he was a child that was severely abused. He wanted to use my last name which he was allowed to do and he would tell me that if he was in trouble she called him by his first name and his birth parents last name which triggered him. I made an appointment with her like any other parent to discuss this and she said she would try and do better. Honestly some adults don't deserve to be around children.
This breaks my heart, I been trying too adopt since I can cancer at 21 I cant have kids this is very heart breaking when I would love to care n love n give a child a loving home
Im so stretched thin with just three kids and considering one more almost seems impossible (I have 5,3,1 year olds) I couldnt IMAGINE 12 KIDS! Its not physically possible to be there for all of them!
In Kentucky (Louisville) you can only adopt 5. After that they will not call you anymore because five is more then enough. You have therapies, for each child usually, school and activities there is no time. Also as foster parents we had to do 12 hours of training a year or our home would be closed. A lot of workers will not call you either when they see you have five especially for a baby. We did foster care for 5 years and we adopted our oldest and had many different placements and their was rules we had to follow.
I hope Frank is out there somewhere happy and loved. That hurt my heart

There is for sure something with her overspending and her huge amounts of food!
The fact we don't know anything about HER childhood but EVERYTHING about her kids
My heart crumbled into a million pieces watching that young man having to parade himself in front of potential "parents" only to learn "they weren't compatible". I would take that young man into my home in a heartbeat. I hope he doesn't grow older having a severe chip on his shoulder, feeling unloved and/or unwanted.....he's beautiful and deserves the very best parents!!
That man tried and felt it wasn't a good fit. It's too bad for the young man but you have no idea what went on and what the issues might have been.
My jaw literally fell to the ground watching those children be auctioned like cattle poor babies they deserve a loving home breaks my heart 😞💔
I was in a foster home with the teenage girls no one wanted basically. I ended up there bcs I was an "at risk teen" and no one wanted that risk. I sat for 16 hrs at cps, then was driven over and hour to a lockdown foster home in the actual middle of nowhere. Being around those girls was eye-opening. I'll never forget it. The lady who had us was literally dying with the beginning stages of cancer, but she knew we had no where else to go so kept us. These kids with no where to go just breaks my heart
May I know what happen to the kids that noone wants once they grew up? How old do you uave to be once you are out of the system? Then what happen next?
My heart broke for Frank. He seems like such a kind young man. I hope he's doing okay wherever he is.
"Sitting there with Josh and her hair like that" 😂
Hey just on the Easter vid J wanted to give one of the younger kids one of his golden egg. He is such a kind fello deserves so much. All the kids do
My heart breaks for Frank and those other children that were paraded around. Every single one of them deserves a loving home and shouldn't have to compete for that.
Jesus, this video made me nauseous and emotional. Josh, you’re doing such good work exposing these disgusting people.
Every time my 2 year old son hears your intro “hey everyone body…” he screams with joy and laughs ahha he can hear the genuine fun kindness in your voice he’s so sweet
As a foster and adoptive mom...my jaw is on the floor after seeing this "matching parade"!! What in the he+*&?
Absolutely heart breaking i just can't imagine
The diagnosis that these kids have DO NOT define them as people but Lush thinks that it does and that's so sad
Agreed!! So glad josh made this video, people need to see this and stop being blinded by Alusha.
@@DogLover_365 it was a very eye opening video.
@@Ryanireland444 yes!! Entire video was just🤯🤯🤯
@@DogLover_365 When I was watching it. All I could think of was, none of these kids have a voice or say in their own lives. It’s gut wrenching. The 60 minutes. It was like a cattle auction. These are human beings!!! DD pretty much does the same thing with telling them what to say, what to wear, like they have no opinions or options. I hope to God those kids don’t live in fear .
I often wonder what ever happened to B & P's other brother, who was intitially brought in by Alicia and Josh, but was sent back
I never knew that 😢 horrible!
I was an older child in foster care and myself and a few other "chosen" ones that fit the "best profile" were used to get new foster parents. We were even put on display at a huge home event at an event center selling not only the agency but playground equipment.
Holy shit I am so sorry!!!
I Appreciate all you do Josh in protecting these childen. Enjoy watching your videos.
The “child parade” broke my heart 💔
How devastating for the ones that had to do the walk and weren’t picked. Or were picked then returned.
This is just horrific. But thank you Josh for covering it.
Same. That was so hard to watch. I just wanna scoop up all those kids and tell them how important & loved they are. 😫
Omg that’s like a child auction 🥴🤦🏻♀️ that’s disgusting
But the fact people take in kids then decide “they’re aren’t a good fit” 😳 my own bio kids and I bump heads all the time that’s like me giving them up for adoption because of it 🤒
Reminds me of the orphan train here in the United States. Heartbreaking book but very eye opening on how in some ways society hasn't changed much from 100 years ago with how children are 2nd class citizens
Exactly! Kids biological or adopted are going to act up sometimes and as mothers we always love them.
I had a kid who has had two failed adoptions. She’s an adult now. Devastating: I want you. I don’t want you.
Two?! A failed adoption is super rare where i am from, im really flabbergasted to hear this child has two 😢
I totally love James too such a Awesome kiddo!!
I just can’t believe I used to watch family vlogs and love it. I was so blind to everything really going on, it’s scary. My mom, many years ago, even asked why I’m so into other people’s lives. I told her she just didn’t understand what’s popular now 😬
So happy your exposing all of this.
after working full time i dont think one couple can handle more than 3 kids
@@alanamileras2329 I guess I can see that point of view. Just a very strange way of going about matching kids to parents for sure!
Alicia looked so much better back then. And look at her now. Stress does make an impact on a body
Plus white claws and cAwfeE
And when they hung out at universal with them
That woman is super weird
Omg I’m so glad you threw the thanksgiving laugh in there. I was cry laughing with you the first time I watched it. It’s too much 😂😂😂😂
This gotta be good 👍 thumbs up to Josh ! Your last video was amazing Josh . U made so clear get our kids off internet to keep them safe .
I still resent the family members who said to her "oh they are being ridiculous and how rude."
As if we were doing it to be mean or callous. Nope just doing our jobs!
I think if she save all her money instead of buying useless junk she could get a really nice house with good plumbing
(I was super embarrassed leaving like that)
Josh, I’m an OG and have followed you since the beginning and you are just as funny, down-to-earth, relatable and smart, now as you were then. Nothing has changed💙
I was just in Chicago yesterday, downtown! I didn't know that at all. Luckily we were only there for a day, and not overnight. Had no idea.
BTW, Lush is terrible.
I burst out into tears when I saw the children basically being sold to people like they are animals in a pet store. Sorry I was very ill prepared.
that turkey video is one of my favs 😂😂
Mine too...I was laughing like a lunatic washing my dishes just because of Josh's contagious laughter 😂🤭
What I don’t get that if a child has to be 13 plus to have TH-cam channel or on Facebook or instagram or TikTok why is it okay for family vloggers to show kids online ???
I assume because of parental "supervision" or it being because the parent is the one technically with the channel...perhaps? Idk I wonder the same thing and that's the only thing my brain came up with.
jeez. she has an almost 2 hr video about a japan meal uploaded today !! This was SO good Josh, thank you :) HAHAHA turkey burner !!!!!! I LOVE your sense of humour ! U make me laugh so hard !
I came across your channel and started binge watching your other videos. Loving the content. Thanks for doing these videos and speaking out about these important issues. Sending love from Australia ❤
Ohhh can any person who calls themselves a "mom" do that to any kid(s) glad I am home today I had tears watch those kids walking hoping to have a family
Interesting that her TikTok got banned but now it’s surprisingly running again. Redheaded demon won’t stop, except for a White Claw. Maybe if she taught her kids more about life and less about consumerism and appearances online where they’re humiliated, she would really feel accomplished as a mother
It running again yess I had to look . They alway get away with stuff 😢
@@carmendoyle9786 I wonder what it’s going to take for her to wake up. If N and D’s mom is suing for custody surely the other bio parents will realize how terrible she is, although she must have had them sign NDA’s and paid them off. But her kids are hurting and she only cares about the money, even though it can’t last forever and she’ll need to save for when it’s over
@@AliAngelpie I heard it had to do with something with CPS
Makes me wonder how many bans she’ll get until she’s permanently banned
@@CortHiatt Interesting. If they’re not allowing her to have her kids on TikTok why is she still doing it?
There is a video somewhere, releasted around the same time the oldest kid drove the whole family home cause A and J where drunk… A was drunk and you can hear her say «we have been talking about adopting teen mums and their kids»…. Josh is surprised and does not know what she’s talking about….

Haha..turkey burner!! Josh, your laugh is contagious!
I am cackling at you laughing at the turkeys, it’s the best mood lifter 🤣🤣
The video of the parade of children just broke me. 💔 Those poor sweet children. Who the hell thought that was a good idea! Evil!
Yes, it reminded me of people being paraded during slave auctions.
The fact that children have to parade themselves because their parents didn’t want them and then their adoptive parents give them up. Heartbreaking.
Your kids are good kids because you raised them right and gave them alot of love!
I went from being Sad then Mad, then Crying then laughing my Azz off cuz of the "Turkey Burner" clips!! 😂😂👏👏👏 ((( Bows Down)))
Omg the burnt turkey intermission has me DEAD! 😂😂😂
Money doesn't change people it brings out their true self.
So true
"DId you just say that turkey burner?" hahahahahahahahaha Oh Josh ..... You are too funny!!
I first read the title as "Disrespecting one of DDs first appearances" and was like damn straight!! 😂
That teacher really said nothing gained, nothing lost. This is so wrong
it's so sad that alicia never gets happy or sad or even angry when her kids behave a certain way. she just doesn't care about them.

“Turkey Burner!” I’m dead. 😂🤣 🦃 lol
Love this channel. Keep going
I got headphones to keep watching DCP when my baby is sleeping. 😂
When you called him "turkey burner" I nearly choked.
I think another reason why big family and adoptive families get a good following is because those of us who do foster and adopt , it can be a lonely life and it's nice to have people to relate to. Now that I've seen everything from your perspective I won't support any of these channels but this is to say of you have friends who foster and adopt , reach out and make a community for them ❤
I just cried with that clip you showed…. That is so heartbreaking
Frank seems so nice I hope he found a family :(
This breaks my heart, I been trying too adopt since I can cancer at 21 I cant have kids this is very heart breaking when I would love to care n love n give a child a loving home
Also as foster parents we
had to do 12 hours of training a year or our home would be closed. A lot of workers will not call you either when they see you have five especially for a baby.
We did foster care for 5 years and we
adopted our oldest and had many
different placements and their was rules we had to follow.
