I have the problem that I loose every battle when I am challenged. When I view the battle, only 3 of my heroes are fighting. Do you know how this is possible and how I should solve it?

It would be great if a set of heroes to be used for both offense and defense listed out
For that, You can do experiments. Because no attack team is truly strong, neither is the defense team.

What skill do they use on arena, left or right side lists of skills?
Left, Exploration skills + Exclusive gear skills (exploration)

When you open arena, the bottom right, click Defense. It will show you your defensive line up when someone challenges you. Check your heroes there.
